There's nothing wrong with the world. It's the people in the world that are the problem.

Keep in mind that karma is gonna get ya no matter what, so it only makes sense to be good and to do good to others. If you do ANYTHING which negatively impacts someone else, you need to change or you need to explain your actions so the other person understands why you did what you did.

Or, just knowing there are stupid people in the world, accepting it, and laughing at what they do works for me.

It is becoming a better place but first it will have to pop like a zit due to battle lines been drawn.

You will find pockets of wonderful people all over the world creating safe, healthy enviroments for their community.

Separation makes people feel desparate. Relgions, governments, large organizations and corportations create more separation through their "atmosphere". Separation created lonleyness and anger.

So to close that gap is a big task that one can start at their community level. Gather, talk, share.....

I travel all over the world and our american media is a pile of vile spewing fools who only report mean things, murders, and separationist opinions. People are not mean. Most people I meet are so glad to meet you, they will feed you, put you up for a night and laugh with you.

Meaness is taught, and retaught to make fear and out of fear. Governments want to divide and concur so they place fear in our every day life.

Love is natural for all humans.

So turn off the TV and go to the corner pub, coffee shop or books store and talk to people. It will show you that the world is not so bad off, that the masses are loving people. It will show you that the media does not show what is really out there. People who do not travel outside their town or state or country can easily be feed fear and separation.

Get out and see for yourself.... it is really nice out there and getting so much better every day!

I agree with you ... but not EVERYONE is 'mean' and not everyone 'cares only about him/herself.' I think that there is as much good as bad, if not more good in this world ... but we get our 'news' from the 'media' who know that most people don't want to hear 'good news' ... they want to hear 'bad news' ... about how many died in the war, and not how many are 'better off' because of it, about how many don't have homes because of fire, or hurricane or flooding. PART of the reason we 'want' that is so that we can 'help' ... we can pray, we can make donations, and some of us can even go to the place and help with the resettling and the rebuilding. No, this world isn't a 'safe, good, happy place' ... we may not ever have that ... but if you believe in God and that you will 'go to Heaven' if you are 'good' then you should know that life there will be 'very different' ... and it won't be 'safe, good, and happy' either ... we have a 'job to do' there, and we are 'in training' for it now ... so be good, make as many people happy (including yourself) as you can ... and I'll 'see you in Heaven' where we'll find out 'the rest of the story.'

The world's always been as evil or good as it is now -- however you look at it. People simply view it as being more evil than it is now because they have instant access to the evil happening all over the world and they focus on that now rather than living the good moments in their community.

The world is in worse shape simply because most people focus on the evil 'globally,' (stuff we used to not be able to access.) This makes a significant number of people pessimistic and then less people are happy about their lives because they're concentrating on the evil halfway around the world.

So basically, lack of happiness comes from violence you see in the media [tv, internet, movies]...

my 2 cents.

I often wonder that myself. There were days when anyone could hitch-hike and not worry about being killed or molested. Now, no one pays attention to anyone for fear of being sued or killed. The world has gone mad. It's nice when you can finally hear of a good Samaritan helping someone out but that's far and few in between.

Nothing is wrong with this world.

You can change it - be nice to everyone, care about others, try to be cheerful. Then you will find that others around you will be doing the same.

A good world starts with one person taking one step.

Start now!

Don't worry about mean people. They're not living good life. You can see all the karma can happen in their life. Just live life and be carefree. you won't have any karma at all like them. :]

Entropy.

We need to survive. In order to survive, we need to be intuitive. People need to outdo each other to get the best. Resources are also scarce. That is why everyone seems so mean.
