I am trying to find an agent for the promotion of a book. If anyone can help me or give me an idea on how to, I will be more than happy. I already tried the internet but Can not really find what I am looking for. Also I am just looking for someone that I can afford, so I am not looking for " Big agents". for my dance team,you don't have to tryout,but i have never had any lessons and i can't really dance.They do ballet,tap,jazz,etc.signups are on thursday.Should i signup anyways??I don't wanna look stupid b/c all the other girls can dance.I might take hip hop lessons.

I noticed, in reading the first few pages of chapter 41 of Ted Bell's Pirate, that several product brand names were mentioned, for military items, binoculars, video recorder, handgun, booze, cigars, clothing, cars, other items of personal gear.

One of the book's main character's was described as relaxing with a 10-year-old copy of [x] magazine ... the name of the magazine had no relevance to the plot of the book!

It led me to wonder. Do authors of books get a cut, for mentioning product names (such as the magazine title)? After all, the magazine might as well have been Better Homes and Gardens, or DC Comics, or National Geographic, or Scientific American, or ...whatever!

Maybe I should write a book, with all these nifty little brand-name mentions!

I am doing a photo shoot soon with an expecting mother. I need some knowledge on how to set up my photo shoot for good lighting. I need to go inexpensive. My thoughts were to purchase a black and white sheet (black of course for a black background and white for a white background), drape the sheet on the wall. Use some of my husband’s mechanic lights and position them on ladders and or tables, her husband will be there to assist me and to be in the shoot. I was going to start the shoot at 7:00p.m. I need some suggestions of what I can do to improve this shoot. Inexpensive. I will be editing these picture afterwards in Photoshop.

My girlfriend is an avid art tablet user, but she draws in a position in which her computer chair doesn't support her back.

She reports back problems and frequently has to take breaks from working to rest her back, even while she's drawing sitting straight up.

Her normal position is when she has the chair tilted back, sitting in a semi-lotus position while either hunched or sitting straight up.


Does anyone recommend a specific kind of chair that has an adjustable backrest to it that might help her?
