but you never hear Britain talk about how they used to be "slaves and blah blah" BUT African Americans in America today, still can't get over the fact that they were enslaved hundreds of years ago and think they are now owed something because of it???

The serfs had a feudal contract much in the same fashion as a baron or a knight. A serf's feudal contract was that, in return for protection, he would reside upon and work a parcel of land held by his lord.

If America had lost in the Revolutionary War, it would never have surpassed Great Britain in becoming the world's most powerful nation.

Great Britain used to be the master of the seas and ruler of the lands until the early 1900's. Great Britain used to be at the forefront of technology during the Industrial Revolution. How do you feel knowing the fact that Great Britain has lost its colonial territories and lost the prestige it once had? America, a former colony of Great Britain, has surpassed Great Britain in becoming a superpower and is the last remaining superpower on earth. How does it feel knowing Great Britain lost its naval superiority to countries like the United States? Do you ever wish that Great Britain regained the superiority it once had?

I want to become an author and have started writing a story about a girl named Lexi starting middle school. I'm trying to think of a story plot while keeping in mind what would be interesting for a 6-8th grade girl. Any suggestions? Anything you think would be interesting?
I also need to make up a name for the town she lives in, and I'm terrible with names. Any ideas for that?
Thanks!

she is only 7. she has been at one place for 4 years and it is fine. she knows a couple of the kids and it is familiar. the dancing of the older kids at recital is not good. it is actually boring. I feel the need to switch to a better teaching place. one just opened that I know will teach better but she is nervous because she loves dance but she doesn't know how she will do with another teacher. should i just settle and stay at the same place or just trust to move and i know she would do good and she very good at making friends, etc. the same as going to school! I know she probably won't be a professional dancer but for the money, I want her to learn what she can! thanks.

do people question Marco Polo went to China or just some regions of China where he described certain areas but were later found to be completely different as described?
Were all the workings of Marco Polo re-written by someone else? How did he bring back things such as Musk which are pretty native to such areas? Why is it questionable?

This is for a Sisterhood function at a synagogue. It is our yearly paid up membership dinner. We would like a performer(s) who can sing a musical score and perhaps act a bit within the context of the song, for Phantom of the Opera.

I dont have trouble getting ideas for stories what i have problems with is depth. I get bored with my own stories. The characters seem too fake and my choice of words sound forced out(as if i was using a thesaurus, which im not) what i want to know is how novelists like stephen king create so much filler without overdoing it?
