It means to write...whatever it is...if you are writing than you are a writer. But I'm not talking school papers and such...anything you write that you put your heart and soul into, where you can dig deep into yourself and discover a part of you that you didn't know was there and add that to your writing...

To me it means you're an explorer. You look into a world that may or may not be like your own and you comment on what you see there. It (the story) could have a moral or it could just be a tale of fun or adventure. But regardless you are going to experience the things your characters experience even if it's only in your imagination and, for me, that's the beauty of it. I can be anyone or anything I'd like to be and I can do anything I'd like to do. Usually, for me, I get to let loose some of the "energy" I have inside but can't release in my everyday life because I'm not a...postman with pyschic ability...or whatever. For me, I just get to be the things my real life won't let me be...in writing there are no limitations to your characters.

I guess I should say that I like to write in the Horror genre...so my characters tend to have some extra-ordinary abilities. As a kid I always like to pretend I was Superman...now in my novels I can fly...if I want.

It means you were born with a gift from your creator and you have put in the effort and taken the time to hone and train that gift into a skill. It also means you should have the ability to use that skill to draw people into the things you write and hold them there until you have finished telling your story. It means not only do you have a story to tell, but you have a message and you use your ability to give that message to people through your work. Pax- C
