I want to become an author and have started writing a story about a girl named Lexi starting middle school. I'm trying to think of a story plot while keeping in mind what would be interesting for a 6-8th grade girl. Any suggestions? Anything you think would be interesting?
I also need to make up a name for the town she lives in, and I'm terrible with names. Any ideas for that?
Thanks!

I just want these suggestions so I know that people will enjoy what I am writing about. The ideas are coming easily, but there really is no point in writing it if nobody wants to read it. I don't need full blown ideas, just like if you think people would like romance or friendship drama or something like that. I have ideas in my head, just looking to see what people enjoy most so my ideas can stop fighting for starring roles in the story.

If you cannot come up with a story without asking for suggestions, maybe you need to pick a different subject. Were you in middle school yourself? If so, try to remember what you found interesting at that time. If you can't, then look for something else to write about.

hey, have u ever read enid blyton books? especially the St. Clare's series? they are great. i read it when i was in 6th grade, up to this hour i still can remember all the details although im 25 now.
so maybe try to tell about where she comes from (family, home, house), describes her new friends, teachers, school environments, bullies, seniors, sports.
