When formatting your manuscript, I've read all about font size, paper weight, chapter positions etc.

When it comes to diologue, the only thing I can find is "make a new paragraph for each new speaker."

But it just doesn't look right. Am I missing part of the rule?

I tend to have my characters doing things while they speak. Either thinking about things that are going on, or doing actions (Sitting down, walking etc.)

So, when I am writing my speaking parts, is the accepted way to write...

Jennifer flopped down on the cold november grass, Julia followed.
"I'm moving." Jennifer said.
"Get out!" Julia said, sitting up so quickly she startled her friend.
"That's not the worst part." Jennifer said.
Julia looked over at Jennifer laying on the grass. The low grey clouds and setting sun seemed to echo her mood exactly.
"How could it get worse." Julia asked.

I guess that's enough of an example. Now, have I formatted this correctly?

The paragraph where Julia is talking about ....

Hi. I am developing a topic for a senior seminar on Slavery in Early Modern Europe. I am looking for a correlation (or possibly causation) between Luther's Protestant Reformation and Slavery. By slavery I am referring to actual bondage, rather than an abstract economic or social slavery. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

which do you prefer? to work in a multinational company but your only a technology graduate, or you want to work in a local company- while you are working is you can pursue your engineering course?

which one is better? just bear in mind that if you will work with that multinational company is i think you are only in a low level because your only a technician. But if you will continue your studies is there is a much higher position waiting for you.

Are you willing to take the risk with this very rare chance in working with a multinational company?

this poem is based on the "dagger of the mind" in macbeth as shown in polanski's movie version of macbeth

waiting for it
for the bell to ring
alone in the dark
i remain hidden

not sure what to do
unable to distinguish the truth
what's right? what's wrong?
everything seems to be mixed up

this dagger i see
all so real to me
pointing me the way
to where king duncan lays

it's tempting, i know
he's in my territory
everything's planned
just one step to victory

a step closer
an attempt to grab
the floating dagger
though failure still prevails

whenever i touch it
it suddenly fades
my mind i starting
to play tricks on me.

.....
it seems incomplete...

i need comments.
suggestions.

help.!

thanks in advance

A yahoo user True_Brit recently asked the question "How can some people still completely believe the Bible?" The basis of most people's argument was that science proved the bible otherwise but yet there is mountains of scientific evidence proving the truths that are written in the bible.

The below site explores many of the questions asked by people regarding creation, the big bang, evolution etc.

http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/qa.asp

True_brit. If you believe in the big bang theory, what is your purpose in life ? Why do you exist ? A Christian has a purpose in life and will attempt to follow the teachings given in the bible. Christians are not perfect as when God created man he gave them a choice to follow him or not. Many people choose to do their own thing. I personally have chosen to follow the teachings of a God who cares & loves his people whom he created despite us doing things that he does not like.

Everyone has to make a choice.

"Non, pa pré droumi; mo yapré zongler. Ah, la pauv' piti, Man Loulou. La pauv' piti! Mieux li mouri!"

Thanks in advance!

I walk amid the road,
With eyes running down the bend,
Seeing people beetling in hurry,
Their faces exudind gay and worry.
But rends my heart to the fullest,
Are the desperate bleeding souls,
Jowled,tired,ragged,homeless............
Hands held up crooked or joined,
And heartless people flip down the coin.
I wonder the misery of these homeless beings,
Contented with the smallest crumbs coming their way,
No matter how hard is the day,
No matter how long remains the night.
Eyes gleaming, they always smile in pain,
Hoping for a rainbow after the rain .

I know that the satisfaction of losing 30lbs will be far greater than that piece of chocolate cake, so why won't I just leave it alone?!

Does this mean that I lack discipline, or does this point to the issue of self-deprivation and how totally unnecessary it is and self-defeating....?

In the 7th book Harry's invisibility cloak is described as "..a cloak that really and trully renders the wearer completely invisible and endures eternally, giving constant and impenetrable concealment,no matter what spells are cast at it.."
So, can anyone please tell me how did Dumbledore and Malfoy both freeze Harry when he was under the cloak?
