Can a publisher still reject your writing, even if you're rich? I thought as long as you have a whole bunch of money, you can pretty much get anything you want.

They learn about each other's cultures, i.e. holiday celebrations, food, etc. One thing I do remember is the non-Jewish girl helping to make Matzoh ball soup. I think it was called something like Best Friends or My Best Friend. I would have read this book around 1972 or 1973. If this sounds familiar to anyone, please post an answer. Thank you!

In the early 20th century Germany and Japan, together with Italy, formed the Axis- but what benefits did they get from being allied to each other, seeing as Japanese territory was so far removed from German territory, and vice versa? I honestly dont like life
i have my small share of friends i hang out with occasionally.
I really dont like people.

everything seems dark
everything hopeless
everything useless

the crimes committed,
the hurt we received,
innocent people sacrificed,
the absence of social justice,

when will all these end?
the fighting-lives lost.
this dark, cruel world we live in
has finally reached its limit.

fire everywhere
bloodshed all over
darkness prevails
slowly but surely.

hopeless it may seem

help themselves." If someone can help themselves why would they need God to help them and if God helps them, then where is the need to help ones self? I guess what I am asking is that if someone prays for God's help it can happen at a time of crisis when they are not able to help themselves. So, if they aren't helping themselves, does that mean praying is useless because God won't help them since they aren't helping themselves? I don't know, it just sounds annoying that god only would help those that help themselves when it is those who are unable to help themselves that really are in need of God's help the most, don't you think.
