oo? I've got dozens of submissions sent out but just thought I'd ask you all for ideas. The advice I got was to try up to a 100. It's a sci-fi/fantasy romance. But without a lot of sex sceans. Any ideas would be welcome. I've been rejected by Dorchester and Kesington is still out there along with St. Martins.

I am currently writing a novel for teens but can't think of where I should take the book. I would like it to be sad and the two main characters are madly in love. I don't know where to go. Please help. The setting is in Coronado, near San Diego, present time. I prefer no drugs, alcohol, suicide, etc. The girl just moved there and now school is starting. She is a sophmore. Troy, the other protaganist, is a junior and star of the football team. Characters are as developed as much as possible. This story is really important to me! People already gave me some good ideas and I"m thinking of combining a few together. Thank you! Everything helps. :) I'm from USA!

I have a question about the bc time period. What is it actually and how do you determine a date? Also ad? Also about centuries. If it says 19th century what is it and also 15th century.

One more thing: If your in the date of 500 BC and its 2000 years later how would you write that date. Would it still be BC or what?

Thanks very much

I went through the Suez Canal on the U.S.S Yosemite AD-19 in 1985 (?) And I remember that there were amazing stone monuments at points along the banks. One was a large sphinx-like woman and others were more monolithic. Any ideas?

So our school has one lame musical a year, and this year its My Fair Lady. This is my fifth year of waiting for my chance to be somebody, not someone in one sing or chorus..I sing pretty well, used to solos, but I didnt even get a damn part this year. The girl who got the lead, well shes an alto on a soprano part, and when she hits the higher register she sounds like maggie simpson. I just can't believe I didn't get ANYTHING....\I listed to try out for the lead, Eliza, and another supporting role. He let me read Eliza ONCE, because everyone had to have a chance to read, and didn't even let me try the other part. It seems like he already had everything planned out. last year, the female lead was chosen by a favor that was owed, and the girl couldnt sing a single note on tune. I'm just sick of not getting any glory..I have always considered an acting career, it makes me feel alive when I act, but does this mean that I need to forget about acting? What am I supposed to do?

I am considering what to major in, and I am interested in humanities, or philosophy. The problem is that I have no clue as to what type of career these majors could lead to. Any thoughts?

I have fallen in love with this absolutely wonderful man, he loves me as well, but we can never be together. This is the first time I've ever been in love and it's just so heartbreaking to know that we can never be together. He lives in another country and the age difference (which is not much at all, but still does play a factor) matters because of his culture. He will always be dear and near to my heart, and I know we will continue to remain in contact as friends, but how can I get over this? I'm young, and as I said, this is the first time I've ever been in love, and I'm sure of it. Any advice I would greatly appreciate, thank you dearly. The culture difference is not an enormous factor, but it could play a role. I'm not counting on anything, but I am just seeking advice... Thank you..
