Please no romantic notions of art im not looking for answers which involve the beauty of painting and colour palette etc etc blah, but a fresh blunt opinionated contemporary critique of a broad media ranging in film, photography, painting, installation work, performance etc. Please give any accounts of any recent visits to the london art scene. Hi..Can I delute a oil base paint with water so it will be more liquid form to use in abstract painting?

I want to be able to spray it from a bottle onto the canvas. Will this cause a problem with drying time or will it not work at all causing the oil base paint to not dry correctly?
Bottom line is I want to thin-out the thick oil base paints so I can use them without using a brush.

Looking for a good stand-up comedian to go and see?

My girlfriend and I are looking for a good comedian to see, somewhere round the London area preferably. We like/have seen Jack Dee, Lee Mack, Ricky Gervais, etc - although we do like seeing emerging acts we're up for something more mainstream this time. Any suggestions much appreciated.

OK I am working on my final fro philosophy and it asks me to describe 3-4 principle issues within my topic. The topic is hte question of whether or not it "is possible to know anything with absolute certianty." I am cnfussed as to what it means by principle issues would it be things like reality, truth and deception? Please help I am not sure what it is asking for. Thank you in advance.

How do I write my new name?

I recently got married and my maiden name was Julien V. Ramos. My husband's last name is Spencer. So now is my new name "Julien V. Spencer" or "Julien R. Spencer"??

I know it sounds like a silly question, but everyone I've asked so far doesn't know either.

Do I keep my middle initial or does my maiden last name become my middle initial??

Does you know the name of the book, sort of like "The Good Night Book"?

This has been bothering me all day. =) It's a book that I had when I was little, which means it came out in the 80's or earlier. It was a cardboard page book. I think it had a name similar to "good night book". I remember on one page there was the little girl sitting in her dad's lap and he was reading her a goodnight story. In the picture, there was a bowl of colorful candies in a dish. I also saw the book again on sale within the last few years, it must have been republished. Thank you if anybody can tell me what the name of this book is and who wrote it.
