Yes. The opposite of chaos is control. If your life is under complete control then you're not really living. To be fully alive means to surrender to the unknown, to take risks, in a sense, to live in chaos...The opposite to that would be a prison, a slow-death -- safe, controlled, unchanging, predictable. Out of fear some people choose the latter in some form or other...Chaos can be scary but that's life!

That is a great question... I hope I can do justice to it.

I believe that life is characterized by dynamic inconsistencies. Total consistency would be like inanimate objects, although over a very long time frame, even a stone would change.

Dynamic inconsistency of living beings is further accentuated by uncertainties arising from inconsistent choices. The combination of inconsistency and uncertainty should lead to chaos.

Life is, however, blessed with self preservation instinct. This brings into being the necessary discipline and consistency of purpose whenever chaos crosses certain limits.

As a result, life that is fully alive and not dormant, has the prime characteristic of oscillation between chaos and order or we may say, destruction and creation.

Therefore, I would say that a really alive life would indeed be chaotic in a way..... but would also be orderly and creative in another way.

Absolutely! Wouldn't have it any other way! Chaos creates ingenuity; brings out the best or the worst of us. Makes one feel alive! Means you are living! Have a great, feeling, chaotic life! Children just add another dimension to it. Live well and settle in the middle of chaos:-} Means you can see what's coming when others do not!

Hi! thats a good question.
Chaos is part of our life and our universe. Newton was that person thinking that all in the universe is in order but after that they discovered that is not so simple. That there are many factors that can modify "the order". The chaos theory.
I think our life is based on that chaotic world full of surprises. For sure to try to keep order is just what we call "reaching goals". It is not to make order from the chaos, is just to learn how to navigate on a chaotic "ocean".

oh yes, chaotic noisy and confusing...and fun...it is called "putting the FUN back in dysfunction"...
when the grandchildren come to visit, i can kiss the quiet time with the newspaper and cat goodby. while they are here, things fall off walls, knees get skinned, pies get made (and eaten), art projects get made (and paint gets slung about), but baby we are ALIVE.
