like if you had a audition tape sent in..and you live in another state how would they get back at you

Usually they call you if they're interested. If they want you for callback or additional screening, you're usually on your own to get there; they'd only fly you there (i.e. pay for your ticket) if they were *VERY* interested, which is not something I'd count on if you're starting out.
