Just curious as to who actually owned the MLKing papers recently purchased by Atlanta for $32 m from Sotheby's. Did the auction house itself own them, or were they acting on behalf of another owner? How did this collection get put together. One would think the King estate or Mrs. King (until last year) would have controlled these documents.

If anyone could give me some points on 'why he was assassinated', what kind of leader he was, blah blah blah ANYTHING it would be a great help! Oh and here's what we have to do, from my sheet:

Quote:

Pretending that they are conspirators, students write an essay arguing for or against the assassination of Julius Caesar. The essay assumes that Caesar must be unseated and details Caesar's ambitions, strengths and weaknesses relating to his lack of fitness to rule Rome. Students then examine the political conditions which obtained in Rome at the time of Caesar's assassination. Students determine, given the political system then current in Rome, whether or not assassination was the only method of changing leaders. Students who argue for assassination must cite reasons why assassination is the only alternative. Students arguing against assassination must argue that alternatives to assassination exist.

I AM ARGUING FOR ASSASSINATION.

My 5 year old daughter would love to do Ballet. My husband and I are reluctant because of the cost involved and being so young we think she may change her mind in a few weeks- as she often does. I was wondering if it would be best to let her do a Jazz class for 1 term and then if she wants- let her do ballet. I am new to dance myself and do not really know what to do. Any Suggestions?

I met a very special man back in Sept. 2006. He was very brilliant, kind, and was the gentlest of souls. He passed away on Dec. 5th, he took his own life. His abrupt departed was a complete shock. It broke my heart. I wished I had told him how I felt before he passed away.

If I did not tell you in words, I told you in my actions.
How could you have doubted it so?

Even when I was sick, I went to see you so I could make you happy.
There were so many times when I just want to hold you in my arms and kiss away your fears and pain. I loved you in the purest and simplest of ways. You were in many ways my counterpart and better half. If you had chosen to live, I would have held you in my arms and told you in person. I thought we had a lifetime to discover each other.

For anyone out there who reads this and is thinking of taking their life, please reconsider. All problems can be resolved. Please tell someone, ask for help. You are loved. Please choose to live. Life is what you make of it. “We can not predict the future but we can invent it.”

(Please do not respond with crude, hurtful, or self righteous comments.)

The reason I ask is because I came across this idea orginally thought of by the father of Neo-Conservatism (IRONICALLY) Leo Strauss but expounded on in an article by a man named Remi Brague. In this article titled "Athens, Jerusalem, Mecca: Leo Strauss's "Muslim" Understanding of Greek Philosophy", Strauss and Brague argue that "Athens" (rationality) and "Jerusalem" (Faith) are at loggerheads in Rome but compatible in Mecca.

Besides the facts that all Greek Philosophy were preserved and added on by the Muslims, and the fact that St. Thomas Aquinas was heavily influenced by Muslim Philosophers via

Choke on the midnight air
Scream when there's no one there
Though you drench in regret
You can never forget
The day you lied
The day I died
The day you pass up the opprutunity
The day you forgot about me
But I have no room to forgive
You wouldn't go on and let me live
Now I hold bow and arrow in hand
Under the mocking moon and flying sand
Ready yourself for the everlasting fight
IT SHALL END TONIGHT
