In the book theres a qoute and it say you know id hoped yo get throug life without a case of this but Jonh Taylor pointed to me and said you're it. Let this cup pass from you eh? Right but do you think I could face my children otherwise? You know what's going to happen as well as I do Jack and I hope and pray I can get Jem and Scout through it without bitterness and most of all without catching Maycombs usual disease

He was referring to May Come. He was talking about racial..about people that we rent sane.. but who were taking a chance at life who have mind enough to help.Dad showed that he had 2 intelligent kids that loved life. Who did what they did through trials and knew what they did was right. What may come in your life you shall over come. That is what i came out of the story. Atticus.. was an unusual man.. but he had the fort sight with raising two wonderful kids. Which we need more now days.
Prejudice Is a may come disease... And needs to be out of our vocabulary.
