i have new pointe shoes...and they're extremely painful! how should i go about breaking them in so i'll be more comfortable at dance class without breaking the soles?

Do lots of relevé's in them, wear them around the house (with socks over them if you have wood/tile floors to protect them) you can also gently band the shanks with your hands (don't go too far though) and press on the toebox with your fingers, you can soften the toebox by patting it with a damp towel also but don't get it too wet or it will become too soft.

Keep on wearing them, even around the house, I have had to do that with some dance shoes it really helps!

Bend them over the barre until flexible.
Or ask ur dance teacher-she should know
Wear ouchie pouches(i'm not sure of spelling)
Use lambs wool(really helps)
have fun
don't worry about shoes a whole lot

after class push the heel toward the box both ways
this works because the shoe is then hot and flexible you may need to do it everytime you wear them or at least until they are broken in to

get gel toes they are fanstastic. then once u break your shoes in more then u can take them out
