The Evidentialist Principle states that:

"It is irrational for anyone, anywhere, to believe anyting without sufficient evidence."

The allowable support for this evidence can come from the evidence of the senses (ex. I see that the cat has 4 legs, therefore the cat has 4 legs) or self-evident principles (ex. 4 > 2 and 5 > 4, therefore 5 > 2).

Now, what exactly is the evidence for the Evidentialist Principle? Is it self-evident? Does it pass its own test?

Two paintings to the same man. Yeah, I'm bragging a little but It’s nice whenever artists get validation for their efforts. I didn't get rich from the sale and will still have to go to work in the morning.

But still ....................... cool!!!!!!!!!!

The first one, ‘Quagmire’, has always been one of my favorites and was painted during Project Greenlight. I’ve actually already sold it once but traded several other paintings to the collector to get it back.

The second one, ‘Collecting Samples’, I consider silly fluff, just something I slapped on canvas because I wasn’t in the mood to do anything serious.

Here is a link to them if you're interested: (click on the photo to enlarge them)

I started high school, 2 days ago and it rocks!! I am in this music program, and it's only for really good people... Everyone in the program, is like a junior, or senior, I'm one of like 5 freshman.. and I know I'm good, but when I listened to them play today, I was like "what am I doing here".... I have to play with them tomorrow, and am afriad of sucking, the others probably have years more experience then me... But I know I'm pretty good (btw I play the violin), but I'm nervous and want to be okay, any advice on how to get over my fear?? The seniors are all really nice to me, and said it would be alright, and the conductor is really cool about it too, but I'm still scared!!

Two part question. It's basically all in the title, but I'll elaborate a little:

1) - What do you see in a good number of young adult books that you can't stand? Preferably, these will be at least semi-popular books that you can appreacieate in other ways (to some extent) - you just really don't like something specific in it.

2) - What do you rarely (or never) see in young adult books that you love and think there ought to be more of?

The books could be in any genre (as long as they're written for young adults). Mystery, romance, fantasy, whatever.

The answer to either part could be anything, pretty much. A character type, a central theme, a certian message (or the lack of it), unrealistic (or realistic) situiations, certian language usage, general writing style, complicated plots, etc. (Just some examples.)

Be as specific or vague as you like. I'll pick whichever reply I find most helpful, interesting and well-thought out as the best answer.

Thanks!
