I have an essay test about the book The Hobbit tomorrow.
I need some help studying!
To anyone who read it:
"How does the main character (Blibo Baggins) change over the course of events in the plot, and why?"
Any help would be RAD.
thanks!! :D

Well, this question is an opinion. You should consider what you yourself think about how he changed. As long as you support it with details (because it is an opinion question) you won't get it wrong. In terms of what I would say, he changed in his perspective and personality. At first, he was very peaceful, cautious, plain, simple, etc. With several of the events in the book (such as with Gollum and the spiders), he became fierce, loyal to his friends, courageous, etc. Just list some of these things. Also, look over the book and look it up on sparknotes. These help studying too.

Umm. . . it's almost an opinion question it seems - if you actually had read it, then maybe you could understand how Bilbo changes over the course, especially since there is a stark constrast from the beginning and the end of the book of Bilbo: for one thing he likes Gandalf at the end: I won't tell you why though: it should be obvious.
Seriously, read the book: it's good.

he starts off as being a real 'home body' content with the country life and culture of where he had always lived and grew up

he was persuaded to go on an adventure by Gandalf who had an eye for hidden qualities in characters and situations

bilbo was one to rise to this insight and met challenges along the way

the changes are gradual but if you compare him at the end with the beginning then the changes are more apparent

bilbo is at first shown as very simple, the greatest event of his day being the evening tea.
he is also not interested and rather afraid of the world outside hobbiton.
as the adventure continues he frequently finds himself in positions where he needs to resort to his courage to save himself and his companions.
towards the end he becomes more aware of his value, and his position in the middle earth world,as he meets other races of people.
we also see a touch of desire and passion with the ring
invade the simple hobbit.

The book is worth reading. What you ask is too complex for me to answer here. I'm not into multiple paragraph answers like some of us. Also, if you want to learn, do the work!

It's mainly how you see the character change. If you give an off the wall answer, it will still be ok if you support it with info from the story. Myself, I saw him gaining more confidence and becoming more adventurous, mainly because the situations he was in forced him to.

Maybe you should rent a movie to understand.

Really short version is that he gains self-confidence ,not afraid to be different and dream of adventures

It's not that long of a book - go start reading.

real simply...he gains courage, cause he goes through some crazy shizz.

start off by giving details of how he isn't couragous, and tell things that made him couragoes.
