I think so. Where are the Leonardo Di Vinci's; Arostotle; Socrates; Beethoven or Motzart. Imagine what Newton or Benny Franklin or Thomas Edison could do today with the technology we currently have. We are looking how to do things easier and with less effort rather than looking beyond our boarders of need! THis is why it is so difficult to find an alternative to fuel, because now that we have a need and not a simplistic task no one is built to solve it.

Creativity is at the core of ALL genius. Creativity is also a way of giving your heart and soul a platform. It is ALWAYS important, maybe more now than ever as it's going to take genius (and love) to resolve the political and environmental issues we are currently facing.

What does creativity do?
Is it good or bad?
or neither?
How about creating a nuclear bomb....good thing?
Is our problem a lack of creativity? Technological change is exponential. Creativity is exponentially growing. Are things getting better?
If not, why not?
Maybe we need something else? Gee, I wonder what that could be?
There's your essay.

Creativity is always needed. It is part of the human condition and mandate. It has never been needed more. But it has never been needed less.
Often, the problem is that we misunderstand what creativity is. Check out the link below for more information.

Yeah creativity is needed more than ever, look at the public school system, teachers can't keep kids in line cause they are so not creative! Roll with that.

Well, you asked for an opinion. Here it is.
Could be in other countries. I don't know.
In America we have, I think, too much raw creativity. Too many people trying to be writers, actors, singers, etc.
We need more scientists, engineers and other critical thinkers, but who have creativity within their field.

I think it is. People need to learn to use the brains they have, and learn how to improve technology and such.
