Hi, I am a starting actor in Texas. Typical stuff. Waiting tables and auditioning and working as an extra, featured extra and stand in on the Fox show Prison Break. I'm making as many connections as possible. I just wondered how long it takes before you really get a start.

I recently read American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I really really enjoyed it. Could you suggest another book by him? OR another book in the same genra that I should read.

I am trying to expand my vocabulry and improve my writing skills by reading more.

I have a friend.. who is taking a year off from college.. and i wanted to buy her a gift. Books are great, she loves to read. I wanted to get her something that can help her figure things out.. whether she wants to go to Medical school, or research.. she is a Neuroscience major... so any thing relevant?

Ah. question is pretty self-explanatory. Which do you prefer?

Personally, it'd have to depend on the quality of the book, how well the loose ends were tied, the closure of relationships, etc.

I prefer fanfiction to the actual work most of the time... merely because... the authors must restrain themselves from publishing anything too shocking, so I believe they censor what they write to fit a wider population. True, there are a lot of fanfiction pieces that are just a waste of time to read, but the truly spectacular ones... are sometimes four times better than the original storyline. They don't have to establish the characters, as they are already well-known... they can sometimes bring attention to relationships that the author did not focus much on... they can go beyond what the author had in mind for characterization. They can let us squealing fangirls have what we want but is never given in a book-- the passionate sidestories that the author never includes.

It is easy for the allies to claim the moral high ground. Particulaly since they won. So please think before posting.

Here is what I can come up with that detracts from the moral standing of any party:

Axis:
*Attacking Poland
*Killing jews
*Invading neutral countries, such as Belgium or Holland

Allies:
*Declaring war on germany, refusing peace offers.
*Firebombing german cities, such as Hamburg and Dresden with the explicitly purpose of killing civilians
*Allying with russia, guily of killing polish officers in Katyn, raping millions of german women and setting up the Gulag system
*Using weapons of mass destruction, such as atomic bombs while the germans avoided using nerve gas (Tabun, Sarin) as a matter of policy.
*Occupying neutral countries, such as Iceland or most of the middle east
*Winning the war, allowing for coverups and propaganda

In the silent realm of white light chatter,
Weaving stars through fingertips,
She reaches out acros't Orion,
Lifts the Dipper, sloe glass she sips.

Celestial lady, eternal queen,
Embracing all of Hubble's Flow,
From Creation's dawn to age unseen,
Time's arrow never left its bow.

History reveals that it was Octavian who ruled the Roman Empire after defeating Mark Antony and Cleopatra, but there is no mention of “Brutus” - one of major characters in that historical assassination. Whether Octavian eliminated him among others?

This Retarded Hat-

1+1=3, he fell from the heaven spot.
His name is still on the wall of that irish pub.
His fame is now one arm and bum legs.
He sacrificed all to sprawl his thesis on walls.
They came with primer and buffed it all...away.
We had not the foresight to see the next...evening.
They lie. Half a wake in the mourning to pity the fallen.
All i have are these frail words that i abuse.
All i have is this culture that is dead to you.
We all look like we stepped on claymore mines.
"Veterans of wars with time."
I find the time to ask for my brother back twice
and the strength not to kill his mother for taking his life.
I take a minute to build a hammer and smash the clock.
They run through these worm holes from the tick to the tock.
I wake up to pull the ticks out before the larva hatch.
All i have to show is baggy pants and this retarded hat.

My wife wants to find this book. She remembers it when she was a child. It is about a girl pig who has a purse with some sort of wish bone in it. She is in the forest and is a bit like little red riding hood as there is a wolf. She says the binding is pink and the pig is in a dress.
