Good for you! The Waltz is a beautiful dance. It is hard to try to explain, but you need to follow the 1-2-3 of the beat. It's basically a box step to begin. Usually up on the ball of your foot on the two. Once you get into your classes, you will learn the turns etc. Keep your frame firm, but not so as to be rigid. remember to take long graceful steps. and most importantly, feel the music, and have a great time. Good luck

i love the waltz. its very pretty. and i found a video of it on youtube.com .

just type in: dancing waltz, Dance lessons, or just waltz
and you'll know what video i'm talking about.

but its a little hard to learn how to waltz over the internet. so for enjoyment, check out the web and for the skills stick with the classes lol. oh and can you email me how much youre paying for your classes? because i'm looking into dance lessons too.
