My wife wants to find this book. She remembers it when she was a child. It is about a girl pig who has a purse with some sort of wish bone in it. She is in the forest and is a bit like little red riding hood as there is a wolf. She says the binding is pink and the pig is in a dress.

The book is called "The Amazing Bone" by William Steig- I remember reading it to my children and cannot forget Pearl the Pig

You can try http://www.lib.muohio.edu/pictbks/ to see if you can find it. Ask your wife if she remembers anything more about it as it is very hard to find a book with only vague descriptions. Does she remember the first letter of the author's name? The year in which she read that book? Any more info would greatly narrow down your search.
