I have a friend and my first impression of him was that he was really nice. I then realized that he was sometimes a little irritable and annoying. A few years later he became very irritable and annoying, but only on some days. He then told me he had depression. Is that why he became irritable and annoying? I am know still friends with him but can't stop thinking about that. Sometimes I am not sure if I still want to be friends with him. Also, I feel that If If be irritable and annoying and I know I am not and tell them that I have a kind of obssessional anxiety disorder, they will still be friends with me. But I know I am not irritable and annoying and don't want to be but keep worrying about if I want to stay friends with this person. I don't know what part of him is just the depression and what is just his personality and what part of me is my anxiety when I react with people and what is just my personality.

Over the past two months I became friends with this girl in physics class. She always makes an effort to talk to me and be nice, and even made me a cd for me a while back after she asked me if I liked a band. She also copied notes for me and asked me my number recently, so we could study together. When we got done studying and I was walking to my car she stopped and picked me up and we talked in her car. We went and got coffee at school the next day after she waited a few mins for me to finish our exam. She also dropped out of her lab project group to be in mine after I couldn't get in hers. She then asked me to goto church with her recently, and we've studied together outside of school. In passing one time she said didn't want a relationship when talking about this guy from church that called her...we've been hanging out for a few weeks now at her house or going out to other places.

Is it common to encounter rude people during the holidays?
I was driving in my car today and some guy in his car gave me a look while I was singing to the song on the radio and then he pulled up to me at a stop light and said "Do you have something you want to say to me?"

And I said "No, I DONT have anything I want to say to you" and sped off even before i can say anything back before saying "Good":.

I did at least get to honk loudly at him and give him the finger

Why does it seem like if im in a good mood, people are offended by it?

Seriously, I sometimes get the brunt of people's bad days.

Some Puerto Rican kid pointed in my direction when I was driving too and gave me a sneer I wanted to go after him and ask him to pull over.
What's wrong with being assertive? Am I letting people bother me too much? \
BTW, NO lectures. I am a grown man, but I don't want people to be assholes during this season it ruins it for me.
That's called standing upo for yourself.

Hi there! i have so far gone through 4 PCs in less then a year , one of the reason is that i only download free virus/spyware , firewalls to protect them with, the other reason is that i really do allot of internet surfing everywhere and anywhere, last but not least i dont really know much about computers, anything that i do know i have learned right here, the things that i want to be able to do with the pc are= read mail (hotmail), download info from the net, download movies/clips,buy and sell on Ebay, will i be able to do those things with Ubuntu? will i be able to surf the net the way im used to with windows?My pc info is windowsXPpro verion 2002, pentium4 , cpu1.80ghz,504 gb RAM, 18 gb hard drive , thank you

I'm going skiing on Thursday 12/27. For the 1st time. I'm ONLY going for 1 day so i don't wanna buy anything expensive . The weather is going to be ABOUT 40-45 DEGREES. So what should i wear? I'm thinking about buying ski pants ( CHEAP ONES.) So far heres what i have:
- Hat, Earmuffs, A Puffy Jacket?, Gloves, Mittens, Extra sweat pants, Tank on the inside, A long sleeved shirt, and a hoodie, Socks, an extra pair of socks.
~~What do you suggest to wear? & as for ski pants, where to but them at? NO ONLINE STORES. ( I'm only 14 if that helps anything.) THANKS !

My family is not near & I didn't want to travel to see them. Also I don't have REAL friends only associates.

I was not depressed about spending Christmas alone. In fact I was content and enjoyed the day relaxing and reflecting.

However I feel the need to lie when people ask me what I did for Christmas. Why is that?

I know they will say something like "aww" or "that's sad" and make it seem like a pathetic pitiful thing when I don't feel that it is. And they will ask if I have friends or family. Even though I'm cool with it, I actually think it does sound pathetic to says that you have no friends and don't feel like seeing your family.

How can I respond in this situation?
