Blood is a tissue comprised of four components: plasma, red and white blood cells and platelets. It is connective tissue. (i.e. cells of connective tissue (blood) separated by an inorganic material (plasma). Plasma is the extracellular matrix that includes everything but the red/white blood cells.-

Blood is a tissue, because it fulfills the definition of such:
Is a group live cells, separated by interstitial fluid (in this case, the plasma), that are joinmed in order to fulfill a specific function (in fact two or more) wich are transportation of oxygen, carbon dioxyde, and the plasma has many many other rolls here....
Yes, it is a tissue, the big difference with the solid tissues, is the amount of intercellular fluid....
