(q+7) / 4 + (q-3) / 3 = 5/2

Find the lowest common denominator for all 3 terms, in this case, 12, so we have

3(q+7)/12 + 4(q-3)/12 = 6(5)/12
3q+21/12 + 4q-12/12 = 30/12
7q+9/12 = 30/12
7q+9 =30
7q =21
q=3

(q+7) / 4 + (q-3) / 3 = 5/2

Determine first the LCD and multiply both sides of the equation by it:
LCD = 4(3) = 12

12[(q + 7)/4 + (q-3)/3] = 12(5/2)
3(q + 7) + 4(q - 3) = 6(5)
3q + 21 + 4q - 12 = 30
3q + 4q = 30 + 12 - 21
7q = 21
q = 21/2
q = 3 ANS

Hope I help you.

(q+7) / 4 + (q-3) / 3 = 5/2 2 4,3
------
2 2,3
-------
3 1,3
-------
1,1
here the lcm is 2*2*3 = 12
(q+7) / 4 + (q-3) / 3 = 5/2

so 3q+21+4q-12/12 = 5/2
7q+9/12 = 5/2
7q+9 = 12*5/2
7q+9 = 30
7q = 21
q = 21/7
q = 3

12{(Q+7)/4 + (Q-3)/3} = 12(5/2)

(3Q+21) + (4Q-12) = 30

7Q+9 = 30

7Q = 21

Q = 3

in this equation we have
(7q+9)/12=5/2 then 7q=30-9 then
q=3
