Do you mean that your dog doesn't want to stop running? My dog does that and after a while I just sit down and tell him that that is enough and it is time to take a break. This usually does it. Hope this helped if that was the question.

It should be the other way around. Your Dog should chase you...
Dont make it a habit of you chasing him as you will have difficulty training him. He'd run away each time you call his name!!

If you're chasing a dog, you'll lose. They LOVE their owners to chase them.

As to your comments "nothing is happening" and "how long does it take"... your comments are incomprehensible...

you started the game, and you have to stop the game
put his leash on , let him run around, then command he comes to you, then say en ought pat him , calm him down
all ways have the control , to end it ...
stop chasing him, he likes that part ,
