A website recommending this speaks of the Latin Liturgy. It recommends parents and teachers to teach their children grammatical constructions, syntax, definitions and so on.

As the Scriptures were written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic it probably will not help them to understand what the word of God actually says.

Surely Latin is a 'dead' language. So it seems to be a bit of a odd if instead of making God's word easier to understand we complicate it.

Jesus spoke in the language of the people around him, though he used parables to test the extent of their real interest.

When the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles as tongues of fire upon their heads it enabled them to speak in the languages of those who had come up to Jerusalem from surrounding countries. The people marvelled because they could all understand.

How will children understand what God wants them to do and to be if it is in a foreign language?

When Dr Bruce Banner transforms into the Incredible Hulk, he will turn into a huge and ferocious creature. His body will grow in size and muscular and he will become green. Because of the growth in size, his clothes will be ripped off from his body. He will be a raging creature and everyone will shudder and run away from him.

However, if Dr Banner were to transform into the Hulk and his pants were to be ripped off from him as well, do you think he will still remain ferocious? Do you think he will dare to remain ferocious?

There were so many good guys to choose from. Why pick a guy that poisons political opponents, tries to assasinate leaders in Georgia and Ukraine, saber rattles for a new cold war, and sells Iran Nuclear materials?

If you believe in the space program as a priority in your lifetime or not, do you think that one day we should reach out and inhabit other bodies in space than earth?

Or should we make the best of our planet while we can, and when it can no longer support life (which it won't always be able to) simply say "we had a good run" and give up?

My stepfather is abusive to my mother. Recently he threatened to kill my mother and even put a loaded shotgun to her head. In all the years that they have been together (23 years) he has been threatening to kill her over the past two.
I've tried everything in my power to help my mom, I've offered to have her stay with me, I've called the police, and I've paid for her to go to counseling, to no avail. I seriously don't know what I can possibly do to help her. I'm so afraid that my stepfather will kill her, but I'm afraid of calling the police on him again because he's extremely manipulative and will convince the police that there's no problem (he's done this in the past and they live in a small town where everyone knows everyone) and I'm afraid he'll beat my mother even worse for telling me about the abuse and "causing trouble." Or he may even come after me and my husband.
I'm at my wits end and don't think that there is anything I can do to help her...any advice would be welcomed.

Have heard this catch-phrase alot being used to describe what women unfairly want today, special privileges without responsibility.
Such as being treated equally yet still having men behave in a chivalrous manner towards them.
Am wondering if the other side of the coin has been considered, that it could be said that some men are wanting special privileges as well, by not wanting women to be on an equal footing and to treat women as lesser beings, yet will no longer be chivalrous either to the "weaker sex" as they see us.
Thoughts?
And notice that I said "some" men, not by any means all men.

I know absolutely nothing about buying skis...what the numbers mean, what brands are good, etc. I am a 14 year old girl, 5' 4" and slim. I ski blue squares and am just starting black diamonds. I will be skiing at least 5 times this year. Lots of skis I saw online say things like "great for all kinds of terrain!" but i only go on the groomed, chair-lift-accesible slopes. I never go to explore the mountain or anything like that. I am only interested in recreational skiing, and i want my skis to last for as long as possible. Oh, and I also need to buy bindings and boots. My feet are probably done growing, but nto definitely. What kinds of skis/boots/bindings should I look for? Any tips are appreciated!!

P.S.- I can't spend too much money, so no super-expensive brands.
