There were so many good guys to choose from. Why pick a guy that poisons political opponents, tries to assasinate leaders in Georgia and Ukraine, saber rattles for a new cold war, and sells Iran Nuclear materials?

They want to sell magazines. Back in 2001 they wanted to put Osama Bin Laden on the cover but they were afraid their building would be torched. Besides, Time magazine and other mainstream liberal publication love guys like Putin. They love communists and dictators. Period.

Well I never had any respect for Time-Warner to begin with....so its really hard for them to sink to a new level..
i mean is there anything lower than dog s**t. If so, then they would certainly occupy that level...maybe would could create a new level...in honor of the morbid terror of the Journalist-killer Vladimir Putin...we could call it 'Time-Warner.'
For example: 'Oh my God! What is that smell?'
' I don't know. I think someone stepped in some Time-Warner.'
Or this one: "Dude, seriously. Your breath stinks like Time-Warner. Its making me tear-up. Here, have a breath-mint."

"Man of the Year" is really a misnomer.
Time is making a statement that he is the man to watch and the one most likely to make pivotal changes in the world that will have long-ranging effects upon us and the greatest impact upon people worldwide.
