I want to go to college, but I'm not a straight A student ... I've been told by some people that I have no chance of getting to college, but my guidance counselor tells me that colleges don't care about grades 9, 10 or 11. I've had teachers tell me I need to take all honors classes to go to university, I've had teachers tell me I don't. I've heard people say that college = better job and basically a better life. I've also heard people say that a lot of people go to college and then never get the job they wanted, sort of like my cousin who went to Duke and is always letting people know how miserable his life is.

I want to go to college, but I've been told so many different things, I don't know what I need to do to get there. People seem to get bitter when it comes to helping someone figure out how to get to university (especially on Yahoo Answers), it seems like it's all about who's the smartest and the name of the college someone goes to.

There is a relitivley small tree limb that has fallen outside on a power line and is just suspended in the air on the line. It's not touching the ground. What is the best way to get it off there without getting shocked? I've been shocked pretty bad before and not looking foreward to getting fried again if you know what I mean. Any suggestions?

the birds in our military dont use any physical strength or endurance. all they do is sit inside of a plane and touch buttons. they dont workout or go thru physical hardship like hardcore green berets or socom us navy seals!! special forces guys have to endure a year of absolute horror, while air force dudes just fly around nd fun nd games.

if a special forces dude nd a tomcat pilot got into a fistfight, i bet the special forces dude would WIN. period. dont u think so? dont u think we give the pilots too much credit and the footsoldiers not enough??

i want to go to the winter formal dance, i know this one girl that i want to ask, but i have never asked anyone out, i am a freshmen in high school, the dance is at knotts, i know who i want to ask, but what if she says no, i dont know her really well, but we know each other and we talk a bit sometimes, i dont think anyone would ask her out, but i am scared that she will say know, how do i ask her!!!!! i am going crazy right now, i cant concentrate on anything!! please help

all my friends have been asking me who i am going with, and i say no one,or i am not going, also, i have not bought tickets yet, should i buy them before i ask her or after, and i am not sure if my dad will say yes because it costs 50$, he might be okay with me going, but paying is a problem, and do i wear a suit or a tux, where do i get it from, please help!!!

Okay this is a long story, bear with me please! your opinion would be very much appreciated.
About two years ago my sister had told me that when she was babysitting my husband had come home drunk with a friend of his and asked her to su#k his d@ck. I had talked to him about it and we fought for a while about it he denied it. Then he wanted to get her involved in the conversation, but she was scared. Later in the week she had said that she lied about it, so i decided to let it slide because i knew somhow the truth would come out. So I brought it up to my sister the other week and she was scared of her new boyfriend finding out. I asked her why and she said because he woulnt trust her if he found out that she s#cked his d@ck! and then quickly changed it and the look in her eye was shocked Maybe that she had given it away?? Ihave always had weird feelings about them like they avoid each other when im around...I told you it was a long story lol

I married my girlfriend 3 days back and we are going on an honeymoon coming weekend.

I always have this desire to get my head shaved smooth.I had mentioned it many times to my wife prior to our marriage,and she had told me to do so if I really wanted to.

Now I want to shave my head and enjoy my honeymoon with a bald shaved head.

Most Special child are deprived to go to school due to some special reasons....they are at home and even neglected in some of their needs, yes parents give them the basic needs (food, shelther, big love) but if not educated/ trained were will they go. Isn't it that it is much better to educate/train them and give them their job, For this Special People to survive. for their living? than serving them from the time they live until they die?

when my in-laws visit me , we three start having problems. Me n my husband care for eachother but are not very demonstrative which troubles my in-laws as they are very lovey dovey and they feel me n my hubby dont love eachother and whole day I have to listen to their unsolicited advises about our defunt marriage in which btw we are having stress only becoz of their constant scrutiny n criticism. Another problem is they are always praising their daughter n son-in-law and comparing their kid to ours. How can I let them know without showing off that our life may be simple and understated yet we are indeed happy? And why do we have to be exact clones of them or their daugher n son-in-law . We are different but we are content with our ways and we dont want to change. We also dont believe in sitting n holding hands n gazing deep into eachothers eyes in front of them to prove that we love eachother. I still think about my ex gf and i have been seeing and hearing signs of our love. just last week i heard our song play on the radio just when i switched it on. (it happened twice in a row but on diff days). And we used to have a sepcial number of ours, i have been seeing it everywhere. like phone numbers, car plates, blocks etc..
i think i'm going to end up in a mental insitution soon!!
