I'm actually pretty lucky, I live in a most wonderful community, wonderfully great neighbours all round, bar one.
The guy next door annoys me like mad with his washing.
I like washing done a certain way. I am a pegmatcher.
I am much criticised for this, but I just consider it doing the laundry properly.
I like the pegs to match or co-ordinate with the item I'm actually hanging up, and then I like them to match each other (2 blue, for example, never 1red with 1orange, nor any other random sampling). I have a system for hanging things out too, so that lingerie and underwear hang on the inner lines, between a line of, say, shirts, and a line of, say tablecloths, or some other items suitable for screening. In this way, I can look out of the window that overlooks my line, and feel that all is in order. I do like to see it looking all perfect and blowing gently in the breeze.
My neighbour has absolutely no regard for such aesthetic niceties. No. You would not be surprised to see a pair of green boxer shorts for example, (yes, right there in plain view) suspended by a red and a purple peg, or some other such nonsense. It really gets to me. I have to avert my eyes when I'm out on the deck, or pull the blind down and try to erase it from my memory if I'm inside. It's quite painful to see.
He's a cut above the neighbour we had at our old place though. He used to like to wash everything all at once, bar one pair of undies, which he wore (mercifully) while hanging the washing out and bringing it in.
I guess we've moved up in the world since those days.
I only have the one side that has given any cause for complaint at all, and it is one I am managing to handle. For now.

Not really, we live in the country and our neighbor's like 1/4 a mile up/down the road. I like it like that too^_^
Me and My Fiance had an apartment once... this old man(bless his heart) would come by and just stare at our windows or door.. we used to keep the front door open and the screen door closed, but the man kept coming and staring in.. We didn't really do or say much because we think he may have had a mental illness or alzheimers or something, so we tried to understand.. then we think he passed away a few months afterwards because ther were people taking his furniture out and he wasn't anywhere to be seen...

She used to be annoying with her music blaring (at least it was in the daytime). It was way too loud, I can feel it through the floor. She lives/lived in the apartment unit directly below mine.
At first I talked to her directly and asked her to keep the music down. The she got annoyed and still did it. After that I kept calling the property manager on her every time she did it and now she doesn't do it anymore.
I'm sure she still lives there, but she's been so quiet I really don't know if she moved or not. The property manager also said to me that at least one other person in the building complained about her loud music.

Yes -- not only is he annoying .. but the jerk actually watched as my ex (from almost 2 decades ago) WALKED into my home (with the willing help of my Adult Child) and BURGLARIZED MY HOME in August 2006!
Then .. he had the AUDACITY to 'complain' about the condition of MY Yard when I was in the Hospital due to injury! That is totally absurd .. and then when I got back to the house (on Crutches, of course) .. .did this 'neighbor' lift one finger to help me? NO! Just complained .. and watched as I struggled to do my yardwork on CRUTCHES!

OMG YES! He has lived here since the houses were built and thinks he owns the neighborhood - tells everyone what they "should" and "shouldn't" do, looks over into our backyard & tells the kids to be quiet when it's broad daylight & they're just playing (not even loudly either!), he yells at our dog when the dog barks at him as he's walking past our fence at 5 a.m. walking his dog (DUUUUUUH! What's our dog SUPPOSED to do???) He talks crap about everyone to everyone else in the neighborhood - he's worse than an old gossipy woman! He parks his car in front of his house right smack in the middle so no one can park behind or in front of him. I could go on and on.... No one on the block can stand him!
