I am a born again follower of Jesus Christ, and I believe the Bible is God's word.

I recently had a patient who was Jehovah Witness and she just passed away from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.

Anyway, my intent was to discuss spiritual matters with her in an effort to discern whether we were fellow christians or not, but I missed my opportunity and now she is gone. I don't know that much about the Jehovah Witness religion. On the surface, we use a lot of the same terminology but so do a lot of religions.

I would like to hear from a practicing Jehovah Witness as to what the primary tenants of your faith are.

Who is Jesus Christ, and what role does He play in the life of a Jehovah Witness?

How does a Jehovah Witness attain salvation or acceptance by Jehovah?

What significance is the Bible in the faith of a Jehovah Witness?

What do Jehovah Witnesses believe awaits them after physical death?

Here's an equation that demonstrates how I understand this:

Belief in God + Doing bad things = Heaven

Nonbelief in God + Being a good person = Hell

Why does such an omnipotent God care so much whether we believe in him or not? With all the "love" that he supposedly preaches, why doesn't he place more value on treating others right?

The starter was put in in 1998 when I bought my new Durango. It has been working great up until this summer. No matter how new the batteries are in the remote it seems like the signal is getting weaker and weaker. I practically have to be within 50 feet of the vehicle before it will start. That kinds of defeats the purpose. Any ideas. Do remotes wear out? get corroded? Thanks for your ideas.

I'm going on my THIRD TIME having a tooth abscess. This time around, my tooth is completely fine. There is no cavity on it or anything, but im having horrible pain. My dentist looked at the xray and determined that it was a perio abscess...and said there is something wrong with my bone?

My question is, why would I keep having reoccurring abscesses? I brush my teeth 3-4 times a day, floss, and I rinse with Listerine fluoride. Is there anything I can do to prevent having so many dental problems? I really can't afford it. I only seem to have problems with my bottom teeth, usually the molars.(not that i have many bottom molars left, ive gotten alot pulled).

Please help...:|

There is a group of people who insist that the Earth is stationary and that the sun actually rotates it,instead of the other way around. Do you think this is religious propoganda? What proof is there of either?(I don't know much about this I'm afraid), Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the subject. Thanks

I have worn contacts for a year and a half, and for the last four months or so, I've worn them far more often than I should. I'm supposed to wear them only up to 16 hours a day, but I leave them in for 2-3 weeks.

It seems that my vision is getting worse, too... not by a whole lot but words are fuzzier on the board.

Have I completely f*cked up my vision because of contacts, or is it all in my head? Should I see the optometrist?
