Mrs. Kato...my English Composition Teacher. She saw something in me that I didn't even realize was there. She also taught me that teachers DO care about their students.

She showed concern for my health (my mom smoked and everyday I smelled like smoke at school. She pulled me aside and gave me "the talk". After my confusion was dispelled, I assured her that I was not smoking in the Girls room.)

She critiqued my first drafts and helped me comprehend the importance of detail, imagery and clarity. I did not have many second drafts after that. She was brilliant and made me feel brilliant too!

I'm in high school right now, and I had my favorite teacher two years ago in ninth grade. The kid was smart and had the best outlooks on life. He also did The Book of Questions, where he would ask the class questions that a psychologist thought it. It was all really thought provoking. He had great stories about the adventures he's had during his lifetime (from almost killing an old man with his cat to having his car hit by a girl who was deathly afraid of her boyfriend). Overall, he is the only teacher I've ever had who was completely real with us and not putting on a "teacher front." He came into class one day and said, "Well, I had an argument with my wife this morning..." Incredibly real...maybe a bit inappropriate, but real!

I haven't liked a teacher that much since then. My math teacher this year is probably my second favorite. He barked at our class one day. When a kid needed a pencil, my teacher attached it to a toy train and rolled it across the floor to the kid's desk. A very interesting guy.

Yes, Mr Cavelaro. My old math teacher, he retired about 4 times but he kept coming back. He had the same birthday as me so we brought each other a chocolate every year lol

No..Unfortunately as a lazy student I was not very popular with the teachers. There was a math teacher actually in grade 8 that liked me (cos i was good in maths)as for the rest i guess my lack of interest in homework did not do much to endear me to anyone!
My worst though was a S.O.B in Greece in grade 2 that used to slap me across the face in front of the class daily!
Pity I've never bumped into him again!

No, I remember nothing about high school. I do remember my fourth, seventh and eighth grade teachers vividly. And I have many fond memories of college, but not of my graduate school.

Our literature teacher was the sweetest of them all. I will always remember what a wonderful Teacher she was, what a kind woman she was. She didn't teach us only Literature. She taught us decency, morals, ideals. Thank you Miss M.
