I know this maybe weird. But when I go to a restaurant and I am going alone, I look for a nice group to sit with instead of having the hostess seat me alone.

I usually walk up to them ask ask if I may join them. Sometimes they have an uncomfortable look on their face. I have neve rbeen turned down though when I did this. Sometimes its a family or maybe its a couple.

I think its very neighborly to do this and you get to meet interesting people. My friends tell me its plain rude. If its rude, why don't they say no. I would love for someone to come and join me, even if I was on a date.

What do you think? Would you ever do this? On the other end, would you allow a young college-aged girl to sit with you and your party instead of sitting alone if she paid her way? I can't be the only one that does this.

My parents were both in military stationed in Germany where I was born I know there is an agency thru the government we can write to and not have to use the millions of ads on the internet charging a lot money to get a copy of our birth certificates both my parents have passed away so that is not an option. I used to work at a restaurant in Hawaii. Consistently Canadians only tip 10%. Because the cost of living in Hawaii is so high, it is customary to tip 15%. And if it is exceptional service 20%. So why the 10% all the time?

Let f(x) = (x^2)/(x^2 + 3)

a) find f'(x), solve f'(x) = 0 and get y -coordinate also.
b) On what interval of x's is f'(x) < 0 ?
c) On what interval of x's is f'(x) > 0 ?
d) Of the points found in (a), which one is a max, which is a min.


I can do this very easily on the calculator but we are supposed to show work. Also, part a is very simple for me to do but I don't know how to "properly" show parts b and c.

I am in Boston, MA . We've had snow for the very first time. I'm quite excited. I remember when I first came to USA and saw snow. I stuck out my tongue to grab some lol. I didn't want to go home because I was so excited to see snow. After 5 years óf being here I still react the same way to snow .....lol

Anyways today it's snowing like there is no tomorrow in Boston . Yahoo !
