You could try taking her to classes at yer local petsmart..but seriously, good luck. I have been training dogs most of my life and there was only one purebred chihuahua that I was ever able to train. I know another trainer who refuses to even try.

Chihuahua's are more of a playful breed, they play more than they listen. My chihuahua and my friend's chihuahua only listen if we have a treat, if we don't they won't even care. So try teaching them without them knowing there's a treat. First let them know that "sit" means to sit down, by pressing their back down. If they do it by themselves pull out a treat. That's how I did it.

From my experience of teaching my Chihuahua, I would say patience is the key. He can sit, lay down, stay without needing treats. And sometimes if they know you have a treat, they would be more focused on you giving that treat and not listening. So good luck.

Training a chihuahua is no different than training any other dog.
Do a search for training basic commands or post on the Cesar Millan message board on his site. They should be able to guide you correctly.

I have a chihuahua, they are quite headstrong with big personalities. With our dog, it is more like she runs the show that us. They might be trainable, we just never bothered. Ours will do tricks for treats, but won't stay/sit, all the important ones. They kinda have a mind of their own, but it is fun. Good luck.

train em like how we usually train dogs. Although you will have to make more effort in it considering the breeds characteristics.
