OK...I have these two dogs, and I was just wondering about the ramifications of feeding them raw ground beef (fresh) versus cooking it. Is it harmful when it is raw. I've always cooked it...but now I'm wondering. Any advice would be appreciated.

My nephew is 4 years old and he got into a physical altercation with a 5 year old at preschool about religion. I don't even understand why they would have been talking about it but maybe the other boy goes to church a lot. anyway my nephew told the boy "my mommy says there is no god and no jesus" and the other boy told all the kids in the class what my nephew said and they were all making fun of him and he started to cry then the other boy came up and hit him and told him he was going to hell.
my nephew is a nice little boy who is very shy and quite and only wants to be friends with everyone and he can't understand why they are being so mean to him. i realize it isn't my place to say anything to him but his mother is a bit unbalaced and i try to look out for him so what should i tell him? how should i help him? please don't say "help him find god" or "take him to church" because as you may have figured out we are atheists.

Friend who is 17 has recently gotten more sexual with his 16 YO girlfriend. Not actual intercourse but just fingering her. Its in texas and the consenting age is 17 in Texas. But is masterbation of a 16 YO from a 17 YO against the law? Can the parents press charges? Anything else. Just want my bro to be safe with this. Thanks.

OK..I have these three rather restless and high strung cats. I heard somewhere that mixing a little vodka in with their milk will help them sleep better. At first, I thought this set of instructions was for ME to drink vodka with my milk...and it tasted mighty peculiar, but strangely, it did help me sleep. Anyway...cats and vodka....A good mix?

Let's say you have been dating this person for a year and a half and then this person tells you that they are facing a personal crisis and ask for some time away from you to solve those issues by themselves. Whether they will come back or not, they can't commit. But the reason is that - only when they get a perspective of their own life and where they are and where they are going, they can't make a commitment. And they make no demands on you too. And they will upkeep whatever (monetary, house mortgage payments, children expenses, house rent, whatever) commitments they make with you for that period.

Let me hear your views on whether you will be willing to give that space. From dating singles, marrieds, males, females, male in the pair asking for the space or being given the request, or the female in the pair asking for the space or being given the request. All perspectives welcome!

i'm seventeen and i'll be going to college next year. my problem is that my family is always fighting, and my younger brother is really affected by it.

by fighting, it's not just shouting. it escalates sometimes in physical violence which affects my brother even more.

on one hand, i want to go to college as far away as possible but i'll be worrying about my brother the whole time. i know how depressed teens can self-mutilate and develop complexes, and i don't want that to happen to him.

i can't exactly suggest that my whole family goes to therapy, because they'd probably kick me out of the house for daring to suggest something like that.

the fighting is mainly between my parents and my mother and my older sister.

i don't want to stay here. i'm sick of the atmosphere and there's no good colleges around anyway.

what do i do?

That the reason for living, is to experience as much as possible, not just good things but everything, e.g. fear, happiness etc...

Does this philosophy have a name?

Today, my friend was wrongfully punished at school for using self-defense, so she would not get hurt. She threw one punch, strong enough to knock the assaultant off of her and give her time to run for it, and she got suspended for it. I plan to present an online petition to the school administrators to oppose their decisions to suspend her.

However, I believe that I cannot present the petition or even start the petition with no solid proof that people have the right to self-defense. Anything, even if it is null and void, it was still permitable, and we people constantly look to the past to start the future.

The link to my petition will be on this Q&A when I am able to start it. If you truly care about my friend, or even better, care about this topic, then please support me and my friends and sign the petition when it comes on. Thank you.

Christians tell us that Astrology, and the studying of the stars, (basic astronomy) is forbidden.. yet the bible speaks of astrology in many places. Take Job Chapter 38 for instance.

31Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

32Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season?

The "Pleiades?" "Orion?" what is this, oh these are CONSTELLATIONS... then in the next verse we have the MAZZAROTH, what is the Mazzaroth... it's so important they even capitalized it. The Mazzaroth if you go look it up is none other than the ZODIAC.

So tell us Christians, why does your book talk about ASTROLOGY, and the ZODIAC?

to die as a sacrifice for the salvation of mankind since Jesus inherited the original sin from Mary? isn't that what Christians teach; that children inherit the original sin from his/her parents? is it only right to conclude that Jesus was a sinner too?

no rude comments please, since I am asking a serious question.
