I have no problem with a woman being in office. I don't see it as it being 'about time' for a female president - there just haven't been any really good female candidates.
I'm against what Hilary Clinton stands for - and I'm even more against voting for someone because they're a certain gender or race. I think voting for Hilary just because she's a woman is wrong, unless you approve of everything she stands for. I'm against voting for Obama because he's black, unless you approve of everything he stands for.
Just voting for someone because of how they look is a very stupid thing to do... then you get someone in office you don't like, and who does things you're against, and you only have yourself and your stupidity to blame.
... probably what's happened before - treating a presidential election as a popularity contest rather than a major issue.

I would vote for a qualified female presidential candidate, but the only one on the ballot is one Hillary Rodham Clinton. I'd rather eat a bowl of worms than vote for her.

I don't vote based on genitalia. I vote for a person. I won't be voting for Hillary however. I can't imagine a more divisive candidate. If she gets in, it will be like watching a four year train wreck.

I would like to vote for the best candidate no matter what their gender, race or religion is. However I have seen little in any of the candidates to make me want them as a leader.

Same reasons someone wouldn't want to vote for a male presidential candidate.
Don't like what they stand for. . . . don't think they'd do a good job.... don't trust their credibility.
Of course there are people that wouldn't vote for her for the simple fact that they don't think America is ready for a female president... and to be head of all American troops.

It depends on the female candidate. If it was someone like Margaret Thatcher then it would be fine.
To vote for Hillary because she is a women is like drinking poison because you don't have any water on hand.
My wife is going to vote for Hillary because the National Enquirer is two pages shorter since Bill left office.

Because, either
A. They are whatever the opposite of feminists are.
or
B. The female presidential candidate in question is creepy, a liar, power-hungry, and...creepy

You Euros/Commonwealthers seem to be the ones obsessed with race and gender by always asking these questions of us. Americans just want a good president.
