I need the help of major fashionsitas....over the age of 22. (no offense to the younger ones, but Im 24 and dont need to be dressing like Im 16!)
Ive seen leg warmers a lot recently. I thought they were a little girl thing, but then Marc Jacobs is coming out with them now.
Im not sure where I stand on these....What are your opinions?
And if you like them? Can you wear them with Mary Janes?

I'm 24 and no, leg warmers are not good looking:
Over tights with mini skirt? no
Over skinny jeans? no
With mary jane? no
With a leotard?no no no...and no leotard period

I know Marc Jacobs is like genius...i have a couple of his accessories (bags and sunglasses) but every genius doesn't always come up with a genius idea...he tried to pull a fast one with the flannel grunge shirt that, unless you chop woods, you shouldn't wear it.

Designers are great and should be free to be creative and all, and we have to look at trends and ideas and interpret them to our own style in a modern way. Hope this helped!

If you are over 18 stop wearing the legwarmers. Its cute for the pre-teens and teenager. A cute alternative to legwarmers are colored nylons that can be worn under dresses and skirts. I am 22 and tried leggings and lets say it looked ridicules. Now I only wear them inside the house doing house chores. Marc Jacobs probably added the legging just to make the runaway show more interesting and to appeal to the younger genre. Honestly avoid leg warmers it seems cute but looks funny.

i am 32 and I absolutely can't stand them. I never understood the point of them in the 80s when they were popular the first time around. My mom wore them to her jazzercise class and looked ridiculous. Why only keep the bottom part of your legs warm? Why not just wear pants?

The only cool way I have ever seen them worn was the chick from Flashdance the movie with her ripped sweat shirt and leggings or that black dance outfit when she was auditioning for the dance school. To me they are for dancers. Not for normal folk like us.

Any woman who is over 22 wouldn't be wearing leg warmers in public unless they have dance or ballet class. I seen some people sporting leg warmers, but it looked awful. It just doesn't look right, it just ruins everything.

I'm 15, but i can look beyond the typical "dressing like you were 16".Leg warmers have been really popular for awhile now, probably since last year. They look really nice with high heels & a dress.

I personally find them distasteful. I'm 22 and feel that they should only be worn by dancers. They're not a fashion statement. I can see teenagers wearing them with leggings and minis but after high school it's a trend that should not be tried.

Kay I'm 13, but I'm pretty sure I can give a good outlook on this. Legwarmers came back in style like last year and they are staying in style this year. They look best with flip flops and flats. [Think: skinny jeans, legwarmers, flip flops/flats] Totally avoid wearing tennis shoes with them! They also look good with tights and miniskirts. I recommend getting a few neutral colored pairs [beige, brown, or even navy] and then get a pair or two of fun ones [multi stripe, fairisle]. Have fun with them!
