Do they honestly think that a person won't get offended by thenm saying and doing offensive things just by saying "no offense intended" or "I mean no offense"? If they mean no offense to be intended then why do they say or do offensive things? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

My grandmother recently fell in her apt. below us and had to be taken to the hospital. She has dementia and we had 24hr. care for her. She doesn't remember anything; forgets the time, forgets what you told her seconds ago, forgets that she ate. After long family discussions the week she was in the hospital my family made the decision to send her to a nursing home since she was already out of the house and so that the hospital could handle her transport right there.

This is really taking a toll on my father; her son. He is constantly irrirated, doesn't like it at all when you have to bring up the nursing home to talk about what is happening now, and just doesn't seem like himself. Have any of you gone through this? What could we do to make this easier for him and for all of us?

in 2004, my boyfriend gave me his moms engagement ring as a 'promise/engagement' ring. We had just graduated highschool so he didnt have the money for his own. I knew beforehand he was going to give it to me, cause his mom couldnt keep a secret, so i was not at all surprised when/where he did it... in fact, his mom told him where & when she thought it was best to do it, so it wasnt even HIS original idea. I pretended i had no idea.

About 2 weeks ago i felt bad about making him feel bad (i have some anger issues from being abused as a child i am working through with a counselor, i dont yell or get abusive but i pull back from people around me) I was tired of hurting him, so i took off the ring and put it on the night stand. ...strapped on tighter than a gas mask by this countries politicians??? I mean a CONTINUING devalued dollar & sky rocketing taxes(property taxes alone!) have turned the American dream into just that, a DREAM!!! I keep telling people to check out their candidate, regardless of the level of office, & make sure the candidate is NOT a politician but a constitutionally based REPRESENTATIVE. I'm shocked at how many American's did not know that the two words have TWO DISTINCT DIFFERENT meanings. A quick check on an on line dictionary tells the story for any one interested. For the uninformed, the words politician & representative are not even "field" related!!! How did the term politician get surplanted in place of the word "representative"??? Are your candidates constitutionally based representatives or just politicians? Do you know how to check it out so you CAN tell the difference? Would you willingly vote for a candidate that you knew was NOT representing you constitutionally?

::this is kinda a repost,sorry::: everytime i go shopping for the past couple of weeks i see this guy who works there. i will be walking around, and i will feel eyes on me. i'll look up and i always see him watching me. sometimes its long stares, othertimes its quick glances. he doesnt "follow" me around like some guys, but if he happens to me nearby then he is looking. well i was there today, and i look up and there he is. so i tried to ignore him (because i dont like to stare at people). i had to walk passed him to get to something, he was in the process of taking his cart down the aisle when he just stops and watches me walk passed him (i could kinda see and feel him witht he corner of my eye) i look at him, and say hi, and all he does is look the other way. now when he sees me he tries to "sneak"glances rather then flat out staring. he doesnt appear to be shy (he doesnt look like a geek or nothing) is he crazy, or is it possible for normal guys to so afraid they're rude?

first i took this puppy off a BYB!! had him checked over at the vet got his shots and rehomed him!! i have a male dog so they wouldnt of got on.thats why i rehomed!!anyway today i had to take my old puppy ( rehomed) to the vets to get his second shot! the new owner asked the vet what puppy needed I.E worm tablets and flea treatment! the vet said its going to cost around £5.50...and the new owner said i cant afford it?!...anyway my question is have i done the right thing ?

i was told that this new owner has had dogs before..and so i thought she new what she was doing ! but it turns out shes only had cats and that was 8yrs ago! what do you think i should do?
