The Bible is clear, and it is consistent. One person cannot die for the sins of another. This means that the guilt from the sins committed by one person cannot be wiped out by the punishment given to another person. First, in Exodus 32:30-35, Moses asks God to punish him for the sin of the Golden Calf, committed by the people. God tells Moses that the person who committed the sin is the person who must receive the punishment. Then, in Deuteronomy 24:16, God simply states this as a basic principle, "Every man shall be put to death for his own sins." This concept is repeated in the Prophets, in Ezekiel 18 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die... the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

Moreover, the concept of Original Sin simply states that because Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, they brought Death into the world. Every human being dies because Adam and Eve committed a sin, and for their sin, all humans are punished with death. However, the Bible describes something entirely different. Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden because if they remained, they could eat the fruit of the Tree of Life, which would make them IMmortal. If Adam and Eve had to eat the fruit of the Tree of Life to become IMmortal, then they were created mortal to begin with. They did not bring Death into the world, and we don't die because they sinned. As a matter of Biblical fact, the answer to Question One shows that one person cannot die as the punishment for the sins committed by another. We die because Death is a natural part of existence, and has been since from the moment the first human beings were created. That is why God told the animals, before Adam and Eve ate the fruit from The Tree Of The Knowledge Of Good And Evil, to be fruitful and to multiply, since they needed to replace themselves. God also told the same thing to Adam and Eve before they ate that fruit as well.

the wages (earnings) of sin is demise. considering Jesus changed into God contained in the flesh, who lived a sinless existence....What more suitable blood providing ought to there ever be? The non secular relationship with God changed into ruined through Adam and Eve's sin...for all of guy form. So Jesus' demise atoned for all of us who will believe, adhere, believe, and position self assurance in Him for this. that is a present from God, Grace. at the same time as armageddon comes, that is envisioned in Revelations that many will convert, and once you think and repent you change into kept. God made it really elementary, in case you could get over the slump of "worldly information" through utilising faith. faith is a documented authentic emotion of chemical reactions that produce constructive thoughts and reactions contained in the body, which includes peace. All that is spiritually discerned....a number of those themes are talked about contained in the Bible and between theologians. at the same time as the Pharisees requested for a demonstration from Jesus because the Messiah, he informed them they could receive non yet of Johan (which turned right into a representation of his Resurrection) Simon Greenleaf, a HARVARD regulation professor, changed into an authority in information...His scholars challenged him to disprove the Bible. He wound up a Christian, locate absolute information of Jesus' Resurrection. i wish that permits and mb sparks some extra interest.

Always thought it was fascinating-Adam and Eve were non-sentient (no knowledge of good and evil--right and wrong--supposedly until they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. One can not commit a sin unless one is capable of knowing the difference between sin and not sin. (I doubt if your dog can sin--pee on the carpet maybe). therefore God was holding them to task for something they had no idea was wrong until after they ate. A logical non-sequiter.

How do you 'pay' for sins? Or perhaps rather how are you punished for sins? In Christian belief you go to hell.

So why did Jesus simply 'die' for our sins? Why didn't he spend time in hell for our sins? Essentially he went home for our sins...

The story seems a bit confused. It just feels like a reason made up after the fact.

All sins are equal in the eyes of Gawd. Eating an apple is just as bad as being a cereal murderer

What do you mean "only"?

Stubbing your toe freaking HURTS, man. I think that suffering would have been more than sufficient to satisfy God's need to torture his kid.

There are people (admittedly insane ones, but still...) who crucify themselves for Easter to bring themselves 'closer to God'.

But have you ever heard of anyone deliberately stubbing their toe?

Maybe toe stubbing hurts worse than crucifixion.

Yeah, Jesus would have only had to endure the comfy chair instead of crucifixion.
