my grandfather tells me that when he was a kid (hes 83 now) that you could go and purchase a single shot remington or winchester .22 for "five and a quarter" i asked him if he meant $525 and not $5.25 and he meant five dollars and twenty five cents. he also said that for even less you could purchase a mossberg .22, but its accuracy wasnt as good.

is this really true, were they really this inexpensive?

Why doesn't the United States send Mexico a bill for all the illegal immigrants.

Its about $970 for the paperwork and everything from what I understand and there are about 12,000,000 Illeagal Immigrants from Mexico. Multiply the two and you get $11,640,000,000.00, that could go towards anything.

Here's the story:

On October 5, I have just found out about this free accessory offer so I decide to get enough for all of my Wiimotes.

It is October 15. The order has not shipped yet. I contacted Nintendo and they said because of a high volume of orders, they are shipping in the order people have ordered in. ex: the first person bought theirs at 1:00 am and the other at 1:01 am. The 1:00 ships before the 1:01. So I reply to Nintendo thanks for the information.

It is October 24. My order has shipped and I did not recieve a conformation email. Again I email a letter to Nintendo about this. They reply that I should wait up to 72 hours for the email. Im not worried and value the information.

It has now been past the deadline for the email and the order did not arrive to me in the 5-10 days it should via first class mail. I call Nintendo and they say that it takes 2-3 weeks to arrive and that you should wait for the conformation email until november 15. Has it happen to you????

Although I use Yahoo, my pc does not have enough ram to support yahoo parental controls. So, I am stuck trying to find a freebie. I downloaded a great one the other day (parental control toolbar) and it was great! Problem was... It slowed my pc down to a snail's pace. I tried everything imaginable to solve the problem, but I had to uninstall the toolbar today- and finally my pc is runnin faster... Meanwhile, my very disgruntled 16 year old cannot use the internet until I find suitable controls that will not slow down the pc. Anyone know of such a program? For now, I need something $10 or less, or preferably free.

Okay, so I found a tick on my dog and I have removed many before this one so I knew what to do. But this time the head broke off. Now I have heard many opinions of what of to do in this case. But I wanted to make sure once again what's best to do in this situation. Is it best to leave the head in and wait for it to fall off by itself? I know that if I try to get it out myself I will make it worse so I have not touched it.

Any opinions or suggestions?

Now I have preserved the tick in a little container, but a strange thing is happening, the tick is still moving its legs even though it does not have a head. It has been around day since I removed it from my dog. Is this normal, that it's still moving?

I would do both, because in life, I need knowledge and social skills. I would do homework first though, because you always have time for friends, and I would want to get to thinking before my mind wanders off into social buisness.

Okay there is this boy(boyfriend) I have been dating. I am just not sure about some stuff. I like him but I think he is in this for sex. I told him I wanted to wait until marriage but he keeps making advances and keeps bringing up the subject of sex and what I like. I left England 6 years ago and have never been back. I had some experiences while growing up there for 19 years that made me feel i belong more here in the U.S and mostly, it was down to the violence in the majority of people in England.
You so much as look at them and bat an eyelash they start a fight with you and i know this doesn't go for everywhere. I once lived in Bridlington and the people there were very down to earth and friendly, same goes for the counrtyside of somerset.
I'm hearing from my family there that crimes are getting more and more outragious, even my grandfather was nearly jumped by a group of youths. He was getting into his car and they yelled "what the F*** are you looking at" i mean, come on, does the government and parent's/family not see a problem here???
Anyway, what brought me this was what i just read on CNN and wanted to ask anyone in the U.K what you think and if you think it's true.

5 mo. house trained Havanese. It took about 2 mo. for her to not cry & learn to be kennel trained for sleeping at my house- she's an angel there now.
When I go to my BFs, she LITERALLY SCREAMS when we put her in her kennel at night. I bring the same 1 she uses from home to BF's place. I'm at his home 2 weekends/month for 1-2 nights. His bedroom is upstairs & we put her in the 1st fl. dining room. B/c we have allergies/asthma, she can't sleep in our bed. I would also prefer that she/the kennel weren't in the bedroom at night so we have1 safe-zone. Also, it doesn't seem worth it since during the 1st wks I put her/ the kennel in my bedroom at night and she still cried, so I moved her to another room in the apt and ignored the cries (unless I thought something was wrong).
I think she might be a crier in general - if she's not in the same room as me, she cries/screams but doesn't destroy things-but not at night in kennel anymore.
Any suggestions? PLS HELP me make my pup&BF happy!

There has to be good to define bad, there has to be happy to define sad. Have you ever had a really bad feeling come over you? Im sure everyone can agree that they have at least once. But who has ever had a really good feeling come over them suddenly?
