There has to be a counterpart to everything for balance to exist.
There has to be good to define bad, there has to be happy to define sad. Have you ever had a really bad feeling come over you? Im sure everyone can agree that they have at least once. But who has ever had a really good feeling come over them suddenly?

Of course, you can sense both; good and evil.
I always listen to my feelings. I can't think of an event right now, but I know it happened before.

It takes more discipline and work to feel and practise goodness.
Granted there is yin and yan, however good, bad or indifferent usually is created by the circumstances that a person exists in.
A person living in a third world country, who may be wondering where their next bit of food and drink is coming from, will hardly be happy and cheerful .
On the other hand, someone who is in a happy state, is that way due to circumstances as well. This could be a monetary windfall, marriage, a world trip,or new romance.
Happiness or evil is not created in a vacuum, it is purely situational, or circumstantial

The one that comes to my mind is when I saw my son being born. I was in delivery with my wife and experienced the whole thing. Ive been sad in the past when a loved one has died but I had a great since of Joy watching my son being delivered. I saw the breath of life come into his body. That is a definite sense of good

One can sense good and bad outside our selves, if we are able to sense good and bad in ourselves, and keep clearing out the bad in us, which will make it hard to see the good. A person who is really pure spiritually, can pick up on a lot, both good and bad though their clear lens.

Yes. I've had both. I've also met people who felt icky, and those who just radiated sunshine and daisies.
