When the Euro was in its infancy there was only one country which met the targets for joining the single currency – the UK . Yet the UK had no interest in joining.

Today , we can see that the more God-Less countries have the least social problems. Is it the case that Atheists have exceeded Gods’ standards but have no interest in joining God ?

A little more than a Yes or No answer would be nice .

this might be a dumb question, but why didn't harry die when he was struck by the killing curse? I mean how did he have the choice to go back? I thought it might be because the part of voldy's soul was the only thing that was injured( kind of like a shield) but wasn't sure.

When I got divorced in 1998, my ex claimed to be unemployed. Without an income to go off of, the judge had to set his child support on the minimum he was capable of making, minimum wage. Which turned out to be $42.15 a week. I never went back and got it increased, though I knew he was working and knew without a doubt he made more than minimum wage. I finally asked for it to be increased a few months ago, and we went to a mediation about 2 months ago. I was in shock that they gave my me and my son an additional $450.00 a month. I didn't realize he made that much money. He was furious and called me every name in the book including money hungry.
Looking back at the past 9 years that he was only paying me $42.15 a week, I kinda feel this increase is making up for what he really should have been paying me all those years. What kind of looser quits his job right before court, so he won't have to show the judge his income? That is what my ex did, and then starting working afterwards.

I always come here to answer questions and sometimes I have a question of my own that I wanna ask. I usually ask smart questions or a problem I might have but maybe get like 6 responses the most if I´m lucky. But then I see that some people get like a whopping 50 answers by asking stupid questions like: "Why did my dog Bubbles poo green?"...u know what I mean?...when someone asks a real smart question or something important to them they always get only a few answers but the how come if someone asks a really stupid question all of u wanna answer it?....

My manager was furious with me when I handed her my polite resignation letter. She was aware of my job application to another company, and I had asked her permission prior to putting her name forward as a referee(which she agreed to do). Her anger was directed towards the fact that some of my colleagues were aware of my interview success before her. However, I made an appointment to see her on the same day that I received my formal job offer, so feel I could not have acted any quicker. She would not take my letter from me, and did not acknowledge my hard work over previous 4 years. Am I right to feel aggrieved, or should I let this go? I'm considering contacting the Human Resources dept to complain about her behaviour, but do not want to act 'over the top'. Any advice please? Thankyou.

I received a divorce last week however it was done prose and I misunderstood the judge when he asked about insurance benefits.. I do not have with my company (new company) and now me and my daughter have no insurance after 30 days. My ex has covered us for over 4 years and still will cover his son although not me or my biological daughter. Can I go back and appeal or ask for a consideration or is done done.

Everyone's talking about replacing their incandescent bulbs with compact flourescents. Wouldn't it make sense to WAIT until your old bulbs die before throwing them in the landfill? All the ads and inserts in your electric bill should read, "When your old bulbs die, replace them with CFL's," NOT "Replace your bulbs with CFL's."
