Theist.
Yeah, actually, it depends on what role you think God plays in the universe. If you think he plays an active role, you would probably be called a theist. If you think he set the universe in motion but didn't do anything else with it, you're a Deist.
Edit: What does that mean? I guess it just means that you believe in an inactive God -- a god that exists but just lets the world and the universe develop on their own, and doesn't interfere. It's not a bad position to have. In fact, most of the people who founded the United States felt the same way. It's very different from Christianity and most major religions.

you dont need to be part of organized religion to be a Christian.
You can call yourself a follower of Christ if you trust in Christ to pay the death penalty for your past deeds and hope for ressurection.
hypocrisy is no basis at all.
There can be 5 million buddhists who run around killing everything,. that does not affect buddhism since it still teaches to respect life.. so hypocrites are not basis to judge a world view.
The same for those who claim to be christians, it only proves they are weak, that goes to show how high the standards are to be a Christian since people have a hard time attaining it.
i really cant understand the logic between judging a world view for its believers rather than for its teachings.

Christians are not hypocrits. you most likely think they are becaue they tell you not to do stuff that they do and to do stuff that they don't. but guess what? one of the biggest parts of christianity is the fact that we have accepted the fact that we are all just a bunch of sinners, and that we're trying to change that.
I think you should study religions. it's hard to put yourself in one of those hard core religions like Jewish or Bhuddist or something if you havent been in them since birth... why don't you just try to study the different types of christians, and then if you really dont find anything you like, then search through the others, yeah?
GOD BLESS and good luck

One day I told the Lord that I wasn't going to be a hypocrite any more. I wanted to be a true Christian. Ever since then, I have been right with God. Glory Be to GOd. To be right with GOd takes alot of dedication and work but it is possible.
I first started off with Proverbs 1:7 Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
After that I flourished. I begin building my relationship with God and knowing who he is. GOd is beyond our knowledge. His love is so pure...I can talk to you about him all day long..just like I do with my husband..
To me it doesn't matter what people are doing, all that matters is that I have chosen to do the will of GOd and I am happy to say that I am a Christian..

I believe in Christ, however I do not believe in organized religion...I show my faith in how I live my life and interact with the world...I consider myself more of a Christian then some of those that go to church once a week and feel that it justifies any other behavior that may be going on it their life.
