I love music, but I don't know if I should major in it.
What should I think about before deciding whether I should major in piano performance?
I'm currently taking classical piano lessons, and I don't practice that much since school and stuff dominate my life right now, but I do like the concept of practicing like two hours per day.
I've talked to my piano teacher and one musician about it, but I'd like some more advice.
I'm applying to Notre Dame, U of Chicago(maybe), Villanova, Dominican, IL Benedictine, UIC, UIUC, Washington U in St Louis (maybe), Converse, etc.
(Which program do you recommend-i'm also interested in science (specifically physics, psychology, pre-med, language, philosophy, and polisci).
I think I'd like to be a piano teacher, because my piano teacher is awesome and I'd like to be like him, but I'm not sure if it's the right career for me.

I've had several abusive bosses over the years, and I often wonder if they actually think that they're improving either their own situation or that of their employees by being verbally abusive. After all, their behavior does anything but engender respect from their employees or promote a positive work atmosphere. One would think that they would realize they're doing something wrong if they have employees who walk out on them out of the blue. Plus, one would also think that they would realize that a positive work atmosphere promotes greater productivity.

Sooo just a question that i've often wondered the answer to.

Say someone is having a bath (just pure water though) and they decide to mess about underwater. And they exhale whilst underwater.

Now when we exhale, we produce carbon dioxide gas. And carbon dioxide gas makes a solution acidic. So, if said person exhales underwater enough, is it possible that they are now bathing in an acidic solution. And is this detrimental to their health?

Very strange question, i know. But im curious. Anyway, thanks. xxx

Hello,
Hopefully someone can help plzzz my friend had her car towed for repair the guy looked at it said it would be $1,700 to fix. She told him she didnt have that kind of money right now. The guy went ahead and fixed it without her consent or her signing anything. Now she cant even get her car back is this legal?? I heard that there was a statue that states any repairs over $50 must have a bill of sale signed by both parties. Can someone please try and help find out what she legaly can do just go pick up her car???

It was Miss Mary's first day out of teachers college, and to find out how clever her class of Year one's were, decided to give them a spelling test.
"I'd like everyone to tell me what they had for breakfast, then spell it for me".
Little Johnny waved his hand in the air frantically,but the sweet young teacher fresh from college had been warned by the Headmaster to watch out for this young lad as he was known to swear a bit.
Jane, sitting in the front row, "Miss,I had weetbix for breakfast w-e-e-t-b-i-x".
"That's very good", said Miss Mary, "now, Peter what about you".
"Well Miss, I had toast t-o-a-s-t-"
"Well done Peter". In the meantime Little Johnny's still trying to draw attention to himself.
"Alright Johnny, what did you have for breakfast".
Johnny replied "F**k all f-u-c-k-a-l-l ."

Dumbfounded Miss Mary decided to change the subject.
"OK we will now move on to geography. Can anyone tell me where the Afghanistan border is? The whole class sat in silence - except for Little Johnny who's hand shot straight in the air.
Miss Mary anxiously looked around for another respondent but finally gave in
"Alright Johnny, where is the Afghanistan border?"
"Home in bed with Mum, - that's why I got f**k all for breakfast!!

any symptoms of brain tumor on the net dont really explain much.whats the most common symptoms is it a graduial thing or does it come on sudden.how bad are the general changes in your personality .does vomiting always occur and is this one of the first symptoms.do seizures always occur.I know it depends on where the tumor is and is diffrent for every one but genrally speaking.if any one has experience with this id love to hear from them.THANK YOU SO MUCH I REALLY NEED SOME ADVICE.

Hello, I'm 21 weeks pregnant with our first baby. I have felt him move since 12 weeks, because I am so small. Today, for some reason it feels like he just spasmimg repeatedly for about a minute, and then he calmed down and a kicked a couple of times, but then he spasmed again, really fast like he was shaking or spasming really hard, and fast. Is this something I should be worried about? What is going on in there? Why is that happenning?

Me, my aunt, My mom and my sister are heading to NY for a holiday from Ireland.
I'm looking for a hotel, but I don't know what area is a ideal location(On times square?united nations? Lexington ave) that's not to far from everywhere.

Cuba is 90 miles from the Keys in Florida.
This Cuban guy told me that he waited for a storm one day and the day after when the storm had died down he started swimming to the USA and that is how he got here.

Could this story be possibly true?

He said he waited for the day after the storm because this is when the ocean is the calmest and the risk of getting side tracked by the ocean currents is low. Supposibly the currents going from East to West cause many Cubans coming to the USA to miss the Keys or southern tip of Florida and to end up drifting around in the Gulf of Mexico somewhere!

He said Castro had just given permission for anyone that wanted to to leave the Island and a lot of people had started making their way by boat during the storm. That there were at some points dead people and turned over boats floating around that didn't make it the night before. And that this is what saved him from the sharks because they were feeding on the other dead people and so left him alone

This is the story. I was at a friends house a few blocks from my home, and we were playing catch with a footall. I went to pass it to him but he was running the wrong way and it bounced off the ground and hit the window, breaking one pane of glass. Its the type on window thats onver the door that is a semi-circle. I told them it was me and they want me to pay 500. I told them i'm not paying nothing unless i see a written estimate. The next day the owner called and said they got and estimate for 600-700 dollars. I said I want to see the written estimate. Then today, he called again and said he got the estimate from Home Depot and it would cost 1,500. It think thats a little bizzare going from 500 to 1500. They also want me to give 200 up front with no paper work or estamite. I told them to get three estimates but he's going to the most expensive places. I wanted to know if i can get my own estimate and if i should pay or wait until they file a complaint.
