how do I get my tomtom to give me a route via the cities I choose (multiple waypoints?)I don't seem to be able to add more than one "via" destination

Look in the menus for itineraries. The via option is only to force it to calculate the route along the direction you want

you might have to add the next city each time you stop at any city like: liverpool to manchester at manchester tell it to take you to lancaster or something like that. I don't think theres an alternative sorry
