Please help me out... even though it will come down to which I like best. Yesterday I sat 3 hours switching back and forth between the Twin Amp and the Bassman, and can't decide. The Bassman has got such personality and such a great warm, mid-range tone, BUT I don't like the bright channel. I find the Twin to be more versatile, and sounds great as well, but I can't get that Bassman tone out of my head. I play country and blues and rock, and I know guitarists use both amps... If I decide to go with the Twin, is there any way to emulate that Bassman sound by tweeking the controls?

I was just wondering whether the sound and playability of a rosewood fretboard is different than a maple fretboard.

Black Sabbath

Yell with the wind, though the wind won't help you fly at all
Your back's to the wall
Chain the sun, and it tears away and it breaks you as you run
You run, you run!
Behind the smile, there's danger and a promise to be told:
You'll never get old - ha!
Life's fantasy - to be locked away and still to think you're free you're free, you're free!
So live for today
Tomorrow never comes
Die young, die young
Can't you see the writing on the wall?
Die young, gonna die young
Someone stopped the fall
Yell with the wind, though the wind won't help you fly at all
Your back's to the wall
Chain the sun, and it tears away and it breaks you as you run
You run, you run!
So live for today
Tomorrow never comes
Die young, young!
Die young, die young!
Die young, die young, young!
Die young, die young, die young, die young, die young!!

I plan on getting an American Deluxe Fender Strat, but the problem is that the neck is a little too wide. So then I decided to go with the V neck but the stratocasters don't have v necks with a rosewood fretboards. Where can I find a v neck with a rosewood fretboard seperately so that I can replace it with the one that is currently on the strat? Are there any internet sites where I can order them or any places in California in Riverside County where I can buy them?

I plan on getting an american deluxe fender strat. But I heard about this other guitar called a G&L legacy. I know a lot about the strat but not so much the Legacy. What are the differences between them as far as pickups, type of wood, features etc. and which would suit my preferences more. I like to play alternative, grunge, blues, jazz, classic rock, hard rock, progressive, and metal. A few of my favorite bands are Pink floyd, Led zeppelin, U2, Rush, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Oasis, Coldplay, The Beatles, Audioslave etc.

A few of my favorite bands are Pink floyd, Led zeppelin, U2, Rush, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Oasis, Coldplay, The Beatles, Audioslave etc. There's too much to count. What amp should I get? The cheaper the better, but if it's going to cost a lot I'd still like to know. And if there is an amp combo I can get that has a variety of tones and sounds, then that'll work too. My friend is also selling a Marshall full stack with an MG 100HDFX head for $500 bucks, but I'm not sure whether I should get it or not if I can get something that's better.

yeah he wasnt the first and isnt the perfect model of what some people would call a classic bluesman...but thats not what the blues are about...he sang from the soul and even turned classics from muddy waters like redhouse into amazing songs....his guitar launched a style of guitar playing that i would go as far as saying started metal...his music especially the live tracks can send a shiver through your spine....i dont know how he made the sounds that he did....in your opinion who was one of the greatest blues bands from the 60's 70's? and favorite blues song? mine obviously is hendrix and my favorite blues song is hey joe....the live unreleased track from the Hendrix box set

I am learning how to play guitar. I can some stuff but not much. Any good blues riffs out there you can suggest? I love the blues and how it sounds. My favorite guy is John Lee Hooker.

After one previous question on here and a few days of internet research, I have decided that I want to buy a more expensive first guitar - i'll feel more motivated to learn than if I had cheap one. And besides, a good guitar is for life right?!
I've narrowed down my preferences to either purchasing a Gibson Les Paul or an Fender American Stratocaster. A Les Paul is my very first choice - i've always loved the look of this guitar. I'm also a big Aerosmith fan, and I see Joe Perry playing these all the time. But is a Fender easier to play/learn on? What would you suggest?
Also, are there any particular Gibson or Fender models you can recommend? Keep in mind I don't want to spend over £1,300 (still a lot!)
