... I use an all tube Fender HotRod Deville ( 2-12's). and a "cry baby" wah., with a Fender Tele. or Strat. I use the amp foot pedal to swap channels between clean and nasty, relying on the amp for natural distortion. I also have a vox, stereo out put, volume pedal (no batteries req.), I can set it to send the guitar signal to my Roland Jazz Chorus, 2-12's, when I want that special Roland chorus sound. The Roland does sound better with a guitar that has double coil pick ups, like my Charvel Jackson.... also, does any one use a signal booster or pre-amp? and how does this effect your sound?

I have been playing guitar for about six years now. I have messed around with bass for a while but just started taking it seriously a few weeks ago. I have very large hands and long, strong fingers, so I can play better than a normal amateur might. I already know all the theory behind playing (chord structures and roots, scales, keys/modes, chromatics, etc,), and I have a good handle on the rhythm end of playing. But is there anything I should know as I go into this? What good habits should I be forming early and what bad habits should I be avoiding? I always play with all four fingers on the fretboard, with each finger corresponding to its fret (i.e. first position: 1st finger, 1st fret; 2nd finger, 2nd fret, etc.) and I almost despise the use of a pick. I want to get into some jazz, blues, or R&B (I know that's "blues" again, but...), and anything really rhythmic and groovy, but also upbeat and interesting. Although my roots are mostly in shitty punkish stuff. Any advice? Songs?Tips?

I think he's better at pure blues than Clapton, Page, Beck, or Hendrix.

Often with good intentions, Blues Societies are formed to promote and support the blues art form in the community. However, it usually ends up with the leadership using it as a vehicle for personal agenda, promotion and profit. How good is your Blues Society?

I love Blues music and his music. There's so much mystery surrounding his death and/or disappearance. Rumors back then said he sold his soul to the devil and the devil came to collect. Is this true? I hope not!!

Jackson guitars are made and usually used for aggressive licks and speed metal. however, I use my jackson slsmg soloist for blues. I lovve the way the slim neck and the ebony fret board feels also the string are strung through the bod and its not a bolt on. Do any guitar players out there find it strange that i play this type of music on this guitar.
