It was recorded by James Cotton on the LP "Pure Cotton" and contains the greatest blues line ever - "I can't love my baby until I get my mind on you"

Of course, there are other great blues sites to visit, but it seems everyone has heard of Beale Street.

I live about 10 or so hours from Memphis and have been there twice.

Though that drive from Nashville to Memphis is a killer, I can foresee another visit in my future, if only to get new shirts from BB King's and the Rum Boogie Cafe! lol

What about you? If you've been there, please share any impressions you may have about it.

My dad is in a band soon to be formerly known as "The Moxie Blues Band"
They are more rock than blues now..

Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Robben Ford, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Lucas, Delbert McClinton, Joe Bonamassa, etc.
They want to change their name to something that suits them because having the "Blues" in their name might turn some people off..

So..any suggestions are open. (original, creative, unforgettable)

I heard a song on the radio today performed by West on guitar and Allman on the vocals. The title had something to do with "nickel", but I couldn't place it since the DJ spoke too quickly. It is an awesome blues song and it has a sensational guitar solo. That's about all I can say.

Does anyone know what is the name of this song and what album it is in?

I've been playing acoustic since I was 8 years old. In the past three years, I've been really into electric. I play in a band, I am really into slow dark blues metal, like a mix between Sabbath and Cream. I am great at coming up with riffs, but I suck at writing material. Anyone wanna write me some good lyrics?

I am a big fan of T-Bone walker, don't have an extensive knowledge of blues, but know some of the main men e.g robert Johnson, Freddie King etc.

I need to know about some big figures in blues, I especially like the later RnB stuff T-Bone walker did. Dont like the Freddie King stuff as much as its too much like 50s rock n roll.

Any names I should know about?

There have been tons of blues and jazz players since the beginning of music. I have a huge list going all the way back to Robert Johnson to what is now Stevie Ray Vaughan and the great BB King. Who are some of you favorites?
