Several months ago, I saw B.B. King for the third time at the Murat Theater in Indianapolis.
He was on his 80th Birthday tour and, for an 80 year old, he's still damn cool!

I saw the Smokin' Joe Kubeck Band last summer and was impressed. Bnois King and Joe just play off together so well. What was even better is the small venues they play here make for an intimate and up close experience that works best for the Blues. When they come later this summer, I am not going to miss it.

Unfortunately, it's been too long. However, the last Blues show that I saw was pretty cool. It was at Buddy Guy's in Chicago. Buddy's daughter opened for Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials. It also was Buddy's birthday and the whole place celebrated with a Fender shaped cake presented to him.

I saw Clapton recently. He gets better every time I see him.
I saw this other guy, Joe Bonamessa. I didn't even hear about him till recently. He's damn good though. I'll see him again when I get the chance.

Keb Mo, without his band. He was a one man band. He was awesome. Funny thing is he is disorganized and clumsy. He was dropped his guitar, he misplaced his slide at one point, and seemed to be confused about which guitar he wanted to play next. He was playful and funny which I think is odd for a Blues guy. Then he picks up the guitar and he is perfect.
