The original battlebots were especially wimpy because of contest rules and safety, so that it was only a short time before the winners were mostly the ones that had a low profile and flipped opponents. It would have been a lot more fun if we had unlimited class battlebots that brought serious power to see some real destruction. How come it's not been done yet?

I dont want to have problems with my immigrant status. But I would like to study Nursing in the Phils w/c means I need to be out of the US for 3-4yrs. Is is possible to request for (like) a study permit? What if I bring my US born son with me, will there be any problems if he'll be out of US for the same period? ok so my neighbor is a 'large' person and a few weeks ago she came over. well she sat down in the rocking chair we got at the antique store and it literally shattered beneath her. i didnt care about the chair, i was too busy being extremely embarassed for her. she turned very red and i know she was horrified too. i tried to make her feel better by saying it was already cracked and that we had just glued it together but she was still pretty upset..

do you get embarassed for others like that?

For example:compassion. If a person lacks compassion, does that person then, by definition, lack the understanding of compassion? By "understanding" I don't mean the definition of the word. I mean an accurate, personal perception of the concept.

Does the lack of understanding preclude possession?

In my mind, this can be said to be true of some human qualities, such as compassion and empathy. (I'm equating these because I see them inextricably linked.) How can and individual understand empathy yet not possess it?

Someone who is unable to feel what others feel lacks empathy and therefore does not - can not - understand it.

Love on the other hand doesn't appear to fit this model. One can feel love but not necessarily understand it. I know I don't. Sure, one can describe the feeling of butterflies and joy in someone's company or distress in someone's absence but, what is it? Why is it? Regardless of the questions you possess the quality.

So, how do you feel about that?
