I have sensitive, combination skin & my favorite products for exfoliating are: Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads & Avon's Microdermabrasion Scrub.
The Aveeno pads have a textured side for scrubbing & a smooth side for delicate areas. The cleanser is lightly scented & rinses off completely.
Avon's Microdermabrasion Scrub is fragrance free, has small, even granules that gently slough off old skin & rinses away completely. It's a bit pricey @ $20 a tube but a little goes a long way. I stock up when it goes on sale.

I have sensitive skin and I too have used St. Ives apricot scrub. The first week I was glowing- then i started to broke out in to tons of little bumps and rashes. I suggest aspirin tablets. The cheaper, the better. Take about 4 in your hand and about 6-7 drops of water or until is creamyish. Then put it all over your face ans scrub for about 30 seconds. Wash of with cool water. 2xs a week will do =) good luck!

Try a natural solution...
Exfoliating should be done once a week or less. Exfoliating is done to remove dead skin cells from your skin which block pores and act as food for the bacteria associated with acne.
NOTE: Exfoliation should not be done while using any chemical solutions on your face or within a week of a sunburn. If you exfoliate after a chemical peel, you are causing additional damage to your underlying layers of skin which were exposed after the chemicals burned off the top protective layers. Please be sure to wait at least a week after discontinuing chemical controls before using ANY exfoliant.
2 teaspoons oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon clear oil (for example: sunflower, olive, jojoba, hemp)
Natural soap
Mix the ingredients together in a dish. Warm your skin and open pores with warm compresses. Use a natural soap to soap your skin. Pour the ingredients into your soapy hands and apply to your soapy face. Rub in gently, adding water to keep the mixture from drying out. The goal is to remove dead skin cells, not the living ones. Rinse. Finish with a couple of drops of clear oil applied to all normally dry areas on your skin.

See if you are using st ives invigorating scrub. That one works best. A really good exfoliator is just washing the face with a thin wash cloth. I also read that it is important that we wash our face before we exfoliate. This is something I forget to do.

I use a blend of 1/2 cup of milk, 1 tsp. honey and 1/4 sugar. Just mix all together and smooth onto face and neck. It works! Good luck!
