after getting my hair relaxed-?

i want to take a shower, if i dont put any sort of shampoo in my hair will it keep the relaxer fine?

i had my hair relaxed yesterday at 4 and finished at like 5:30?

Seriously, though, many "relaxers" have harsh chemicals that can actually damage your hair, including washing with a shampoo that may have inadvertent side effects. You used the word "had", so I presume this was done, professionally, though even professional stylists are sometimes ignorant of the pitfalls of applying "relaxers" improperly.

As such, you should follow the instructions of the pro and/or the relaxer bottle, and not rely on the advice of strangers, except me, of course! ;)

Dont wet it...I think the timeline is 24hrs but you shouldnt be washing your hair that often anyways...because relaxers are so damaging, the last thing you want to do is overly wash your hair and dry it out! Keep it moisturized with some sort of cream or oil..are you african american?? If not, you should consult a professional

I would think that after 24 hours it should be ok to shower. I would advise you to use a mild shampoo and conditioner though.
